I didnt mean to piss anyone off...... two unrelated questions. so fresh slate, What can I do to blend my bodykit?

Which turbo spools up an Rb25DET quickly, has good low - mid range power for around 400hp? (This is for my brothers N/A skyline, he wants my old motor and wanted to know cause there r so many great turbos out there!)

I apoligise for any discontent, I didnt realise the territoriality between GTR & GTST owners out there. Being a new owner, Im learning as I go.....

So did anyone else get a friendly pm from the "kmaster"

Mine was titled "blow me geoff" with the message body - pethetic. So glad to be making friends I'd rather watch get towed to impound or fail year 6 for poor spelling.

We need skyline owners like this that are hell bent on making tools of themselves..... NOT!!! Do you realise there is even a report that fake GTR thread on the forum somewhere to formally ridicule the likes of you? You're the one who is determined to badge his car as stated earlier in the forum.

Sell it now monkey-boy and get a riced Echo and stay in the FF forum.

If you are determined to use the front bar then ask a panel shop.

Maybe the 'Blow Me Geoff' pm was a come on line?

Maybe so mate, but if he's into that then the FF forum is the place to go as well ;)

There is no territoriality, they are all Skylines. Same but different in their own way, even GTR's are different between models.

Wear the GTS25t sticker with pride is all I say. Why else would I own 2 as well as a GTR33?

Come on geoff admit it, you were turned on just slightly by his provocative pm werent you???

You would save money if you sold your kit and your car and bought an ACTUAL GTR.

They are currently going for around $28,000 I think.

It would cost a fortune to get that panel and paint work done.

I can understand you wanting to fit that kit to your car as the GTR is one sexy bitch but honestly, you will be forking out way too much money to do it. And at the end of the day it is still a GT25T with a widebody kit and a 26 transplant.

I don't think people should be as rude as they are being to you as you can do what you like to your car. It may not conform with others tastes but your car will be unique and the way you like it. Don't worry about what people are saying but if you go ahead and do it....expect to get shit for it. It's just one of those things.

i put GTR panels on my car

anyone wanna sling shit on me about being a pretender?

i dont think there is any problem with putting the panels on

badges are a different story though

There is a difference between putting panels on so you can have larger wheels, and putting fake GTR badges on your car.

Putting wide body guards is nothing to be ashamed of, where as putting GTR badges on any other car that is clearly not a GTR is crazy.

When I was in Hong Kong a few weeks ago I was a Pulsar (sunny over there) with GTR badges all over it. Also today when I was in Preston I went past JSA auto on Bell street where I saw a white R33 GTS-T with a TRD sticked across the bonnet...

What are people thinking?? lol...

Greg

just read all the posts.....

i havent laughed so hard since i could remember!!!

i agree.. people with GTR badges on GTST,S really should be weaving baskets!! ..... there brains have to be wired wrong!!

anyway i agree totaly with 3lit3fors3, that if you want a GTR then you may as well just get one instead as there prices have fallen of the shelf over the past two years or so and it would be a much cheaper alternative as to cutting and re fabbing the rear guards ect of the narower beast

as for the turbo, i dont know much but i would imagine if you want a quick spooler then your best to keep the factory unit and maybee have it high-flowed along with the fittment of a free flowing exhaust , most importantly a large or twin dump pipe

Dave... still laughing..lol!!

Well thankyou to those who have been positive in giving me options, sounds like the guards n stuff r going to be too expensive, so i should just look for another kit..... as for those who were not so positive, im not even gonna bother saying.... ps. I think the HKS GT RS turbo looks good, pricey but good!

One more thing..... I dont remember ever saying anything about putting GTR badges on my GTST....... Funny how idiots ramble off into the sunset about their on speculations... ^_^

...yet your profile clearly states you drive a GTR??? ;)

I'll agree with the others above that yeah it can be done, and the widebody does look a damn sight better (on a genuine GTR), but i wouldn't go to all that trouble when you could just buy one and save yourself a lot of hassles and having your car off the road for months.

I found some front guards and rear fender pods (25 mil wider) at a bodyshop, and they think that they will sort out my 10 mil difference perfectly, so i get to keep the kit! Hooray!! :)

Hope to get some paint on and show some photos in a few weeks!

Yeah, nothing wrong with fattening the car up as that allows significant track width increase so is a performance improvement, but the badges are a no-no and are worse than rice.

They say imitation is the greatest form of compliment, but I think it's just sick and is a demonstration of no individuality.

Now, time to fit some Bilsteins and their stickers

Omg, i remember downloading a clip about a ricer who had GTR badge on his Mustang and claimed he drives a GTR with a Rotary engine in it. =X

Alritey, so the kid wants to have a GTR without having the cash, can't blame him can you? Afterall, GTRs are sooooo sexy. But then again, reminds me of the Subaru 1.6 all strapped up to look like a STi, but only with stock exhaust, rear drum brake, and still a 1.6 engine. =X

http://www.sgcarmart.com/main/info-20At486a-1000.html << this is one of the the wannabes.

Prolly can't see clearly, but look at the specs, that'll give u a good idea.

What do you mean pricey? It's like the second cheapest turbo you can get for these.

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
