Oil In Intercooler Pipes

hey ppls

after someones driveway helped me forcefully remove my intercooler pipes i noticed there was a little bit of oil in the pipes, just a tiny bit it would seem.

Is this normal or anything to worry about ??

A litle 'residue' is normal, 'totally wet' (which I doubt), then could be serious!!

Why did u have to remove the IC pipes for?

Do you have 'ooh ah! Jubst a little bit more problems'??

nah i hit it on someones stupid driveway... grrr!!!

so it pulled the pipe out that connects to the intercooler...

there was only a little bit of oil.. just on the bit where the 2 pipes connect up.. not much at all realy..

Justin, this is fine. When I first pulled apart my IC system (to play with it), I myself noticed an oily, dusty residue within the pipework. (the car was 8 years old when I got her, and rubbish builds up over time.) So i cleaned all the easily accessible stuff, and all cool..No problem!!

Enjoy your 'line!!...and watch out for those bumps, silly!!!!

get a catch can maybe, would help stop oil going into your intake and through the system

yeah my intercooler pipe, the input one sits under the intercooler itself (blitz kit which uses the stock pipes) so the pipe sits like .5 - 1cm lower thant the front bumper so im always careful.. just pisses me off cause its like 1 driveway outa 1000 which does it

It was like U shaped... you no those ones where the car dips down that back up
