Hi guys,

As the title says im having some trouble with my 33 and have been for some time now.

When i was out one nite i decided to give it a bit of a fang, lit the tyres up bounced off the limiter n then lost total power.

After that the car would not idle at all, when i was slowing down and coming to a stop it just wanted to die. Also it blows heaps of blue smoke now (not 100% certain on colour but will update you all tomorrow in the light),

Well i thought it was turbo, so i pulled it out and had a look at it. Compressor wheels look fine, no dints no shaft play ncie n tight. Dump pipe, front pipe, intercooler the lot.

Then i went back and fitted everything back in, making double sure everything was connected properly especially all the hoses/pipes, also replaced dump/front pipe with BATMbl's 3" splitter, cleaned sensor screwed in dump pipe (o2 sensor?), also looked at afm (z32) n looks nice n clean.

Fired her up, idles nicely now at 1000rpm or there abouts, but still blows heaps of smoke.

I have as of tonite put in the power fc but wasnt able to start her up caus its got no bloody oil, so ill wait til tomorrow to see if this may fix it

Any idea what the problem is/could be?

Cheers in advance

Shane

http://www.vidilife.com/index.cfm?f=media....1CF-1&action=10

I plugged in the pfc and took some fuel out and now doesnt blow any smoke, but idles like u wouldnt believe, shudders like a mofo and wont rev passed 4000rpm

so its off to mercury motorsport on tuesday to see whats the problem

Well got it back from mercury yesterday.

They had a look at everything and said the problem was that the spark plugs were only done up finger tight and there was heaps of carbon build up on them.

So they replaced them and tuned my power fc and they said it was running heaaaaps rich, now she runs nice as and dynod up at 180.2 rwkw :)

Thanks for all the help guys :P

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
