AlexCim
Ok, that topic will sound very VERY confusing, but here is the low down -S1 Auto stagea has R33 S2 Engine -Engine harness same as R34 GTT I have bought a plug(to swap over) and PFC for R33 S2 thinking its right, but someones told me that the GTT PFC also works and doesnt require mods to the harness. Are there any issues with running a NEO6 PFC on a NON NEO6 GTST. Col-GTSX
Simple pfc dont work with auto cars.... Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/93044-issues-with-running-neo-pfc-on-s2-r33/#findComment-1679338 Share on other sites
RB30-POWER
because the nvct cam timing is constantly variable on the NEO rb25, can the PowerFC be mapped for this function, or how does that work? with the r33 rb25 its either full advance or full retard no inbetween. and is activated by a simple on/off switch in the ecu at the desired rpm. anyone know how the powerfc and rb25neo nvct perform? Col-GTSX
there is a specific pfc for the neo motor..... However you have missed the fact the auto transmissions are no match for the pfc.... RB30-POWER
its common knowledge that the powerfc lacks the outputs for auto tranny operation. its also common knowledge that there is a specific version powerfc for the neo. however what i was asking is how much control does the ne powerfc give over the nvct operation? Col-GTSX
ummmm i would have to say it has full control like the standard ecu.... otherwise it would not work.... But wether you can chage those settings or not maby be a question for the fpc faq's section..... RB30-POWER
yeah, cheers mate. ill head over and ask. i suppose this is kind of relevant to the thread. i mean, put all the auto issues aside, if it were capable of controlling the auto. i dont think the R34 Neo would be able to control the r33 nvct very well. AlexCim
Its for a manual conversion to change the ECU at the same time. Thats why its an auto engine harness and a manual ECU. But yes, is there any way to map the PFC to use S2 VVT instead?
