Had a great time - Thanks again to Kel and Duncan

Well done on including MacPass in the instructions (its fun uphill aswel)

Pics look good

I got lost (well, i just drove, the navigator got us lost) and found an interesting road, if anyones going out that way id suggest where the turn is for "The Oaks" where we all turned right (dammit), go straight for about 15-25 mins and enjoy the drive (its not exactly a slow drive)

I tell ya, observation cruises put a lot of strain on relationships!

It's all good now. :) But geez. I don't know how you people who organise these things can live with yourselves... *shakes head*

*stares at abobob, duncan, and kel.........

Thanks for a cool day guys. Food was good and it was cool to meet some fellow skyline nuts. My drive home was unfortunatly marked with bogans yelling racist crap at me through Shell Harbour and Wollongong. I'm not even close to ethnic. Try asian you racist moots.

Thanks to Bob, Di and Duncan for putting on a cool day. What awesome weather!!.......eventually.

Sam

What an awesome day!! Great cruise, bearing in mind it was my first and I didn't know what to expect! Abobob, Duncan, and Kel did a great job organising the event (sorry if I've missed anyone), and I finally became a member of the club!

Everyone was very friendly and helpful - it was good to put names to faces! The photos taken turned out really well also!

Can't wait to do it again!

Had a great time. It's allways good fun putting names to faces. We should have another cruise sometime before christmas.

I got so burnt.Duncan made teh mad fap burgers.needed a little sauce though.

I wanted to go in the event but my passenger pulled out at the last minute due to work. But i still had a great time cruising down with the boys and girls.

was a great day, even though im severely sun burnt.

Maybe i should buy me some khaki short shorts etc and catch red backs for a living? :S

Newho, stoked my car is in some pics :D

Great day all and cheers to duncan, adam, kel and everyone else who helped make the day happen.

Cruised home afterwards with Trust33 for a bit, somewhere between the end of that mini run and us leaving the place i had something cause my HICAS warning light to come up :S

i don't care, i want to get rid of the bloody thing anyway :(

Anyway, great day.

P.S PHAT BBQ TOO

P.S. Would it still be possible to get one of those SAU shirts and/or caps?

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
