It doesn't surprise me that the WSID website has old information on there. They were probably too busy rewoking the private track hire rules that they have recently published. :D

I hope you're right NXTIME.

I just looked at the list now and it looks like it has been updated...now 24 cars in total :)

I still haven't got around to entering yet, but will do so next week. I just hope the event gets the numbers otherwise it's going to fall on it's arse and be another slap in the face for SC in this country.

Despite the very low competitor list that is currently on the WSID website, I know that there are quite a few more cars that will be entering this week. Alot of them are also coming from interstate.

That's good news then :)

TWO new PRO RWD cars making their debut!

Adrian

Even better news :)

Here's hoping that the event is a big success.

I personally enjoy watching all types of drag racing (and motorsport in general), but SC is the only hope I'll probably ever have of actually competing which is half the beauty of the concept and which is why I'm going to enter. I know this is probably true for the majority of people on here, so if you're thinking about having a go, just get in there and enter :D

handed out approx 300 flyers at Autosalon today premoting the event....will hand out the remaining 200 tomm. hopefully we have some competitors/spectators amongst them

Because your racing against more fancied opposition ....why do footballers want to play 1st grade????

That's it. It's all DYO anyway, as long as you can qualify in the top 8 or top 16 cars.

What times did you run, PORTS?

Do you HAVE to run slicks in Sport Mod, or are you allowed to if you choose to?

Best run a ball tearing 15.952, a PB for the sled, worst run was a 16.154, six runs in all.. :D

Last 18 runs have all been between the above times. Think i'll DYO a 15.9 for the dragwarz. I'm not sure about slicks, as this will be my 1st event of this type, so running semis.

do you realise 14.5 is the qualifying cutoff for sport rwd and slicks are not permitted....you'll have to race in et2 bracket. It would be worth your while to consult the rule book if planning to run next Saturday.

EDIT: they have either botched your entry or you have a very sluggish PRO RWD car....as they have you in with PAC and Dalton's...good luck

SHIT !!! Spoke to John on the Al Capone twice and in person last nite and I told him my times and was told that was not a prob, and they would stick me in some category. (cardigan wearers I guess?). Have paid up so wtf?

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
