Traction Control Shakes !!

Hi,

I got a problem with my GTS-4 and I'm hoping someone out there might know whats going on.

Its a problem with the cars Traction Control System.

Basically, when i go into a left hand corner at speed and the traction control is required, there is a shudder when the atessa system kicks in. The car shakes a bit and it can be felt through the steering wheel, it almost feels like the left wheel is seizing up or something.

The car has just had a major service, i told the mechanic about the problem and he seemed to think that changing the fluid that the traction control needs and bleeding the lines might fix it. It didn't.

Anyway if anyone knows of such a problem a reply would be much appreciated.

You have traction control on your car?

or are you describing Attesa?

when rear wheel looses traction, front wheel will spin and steering does feel like shaky... gentle vibration.

When i say shaking i mean quite a violent shake not the usual feeling of the attesa system.

I had this exact problem with the GTR after its big service. It used to shudder going round corners. Anyways, it didnt like the new oil that was put in the diff...so I changed the oil and it was all good.

COuld it be limited slip diff, regarding that shudder problem...

Thats a good point Joe.

I'm hoping that changing it with a better quality diff oil will help.

What would you recommend Joe ? (or Anyone)

yer that was my problem...I had Redline oil put in my diff. Thats when the problems occured. I just replaced it with a normal Castrol LSD oil. Now its fine

hhmmmmm same here I had REdline oil in my Auto box... (yeah I know)...

if feels really hard to change the gears etc..etc...

I think redline is over rated... and $$$$ too!

I went to Advan and they weren't even sure what it was but i suggested changing the diff oil like everyone here was saying and its now all SWEET!!

What would i do without skylinesaustralia or my Skyline for that matter!!

Don't know what type of oil it was that was used, whatever Advan use i guess, it came up as high quality diff oil on the reciept.

The car took 1.5 litres.

The cost of the oil and half an hour labor from Advan was: $68.00.

It didn't work straight away, it took a day to get the oil through the diff, but now the traction control feels better than ever.
