Hey, with that 260RS, does it have a GTR intercooler?

...thought only just struck me...

Yes think it does from looking at the front when I was there but it would have to be confirmed.

EDIT: Also I noticed the 260RS front bumper protrudes forwards about an extra 3 or 4 inches more than a RS FOUR.

I am just thinking of the front bar support.

A legal way of going about getting a front mount intercooler, get a 260RS front bar support and bolt that on, with a GTR intercooler and then get the pipes made custom...

HMMMM, i may myself look into getting the support bar, but, its a very $$ way to do it as i doubt there are many 260's being parted out, and the part from nissan would be expensive.

Can anyone with a 260 confirm for me please?

i had a great day and it was good to see some more stageas this year and great pics

whats eceryone upto sat night wanna go for a cruise a few of my mates get there cars back after a long wait for them so were all keen

there's almost enough stageas in canberra for that, but i don't see it happeneing anytime soon. Australia is too big for an all-stagea meet.

I'd drive to sydney but thats far enough for me. Or we could all drive to the middle of Australia haha yea right.

the cooler on my car looks to be identical to a gtr cooler i have in the shed ,same mounting points ,dimensions..

So, out of curiosity, is your front bar support cut, or does it look as if both the top and bottom go the same distance.

I may have to look into getting a 260rs front bar support, would love to have it 100% legal >_<

its not cut ,it is specific bar support for autech ....autech are bit more than intercooler fitters with angle grinders

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
