Hey, I did the job over a year ago. Everything fitted up very easily (banjos included) except for the fact that the VG30 does not have an elbow from the outlet (instead it has the small straight adapter thing).

The RB20 elbow is too small to bolt onto the VG30 (I am not sure about the RB25 which is slightly larger) so you need to get an elbow made by an exhaust place or something.

This is quite an easy job. If you find out if an RB25 elbow fits or not I would be very interested to find out.

Thanks.

all you need to do is buy a 90 degree piece of silicone to replace the elbow and all lines bolt straight up except for the oil inlet line you need to change the fitting for this.

Pirteck or similar will be able to help you max $80 for a entirely new braded line! or 10-20 for a new fitting,

Good luck mate,

Blair

Here are the pics of what I did for an elbow. It looks pretty uuuugly! R31 Koop do you have a picture of the elbow you used? Does the silicon hose you use change the pipe diameter or do you have another piece to do that?

Regarding the fitting, I didn't need to make any changes. Mine has the ball bearing centre though - R31 Koop do you know what yours is?

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
