DLuded: there are some major changes being made around Chatswood shopping area at the moment. According to the cop they are "giving people a few days to get used to the new signs"

however considering i am high on the kuringai target list i was f**kin worried.

all sorted nick. they clamped my brake line dissabling the rear left brake. pretty smart if you ask me cause we couldn't find the right brake pads.

drove her home slowly. just found pins, clips and bendix ultimates at just jap. should be back on the road this afternoon. phew:)

what happened?

was driving her hard and the inside rear left brake pad just fell off. the clips holding the pins were gone as was one of the pins. lost all brakes for about five seconds which was pretty scary out on the old road.

Guess your lucky your loss of brakes didn't result in a loss of life

Porgie, was it cos your brakes are so sqeaky or the type of pads you got? My ultimates squeak a bit but nowhere near as much as yours did.

I thought George was missing his shims they were soo noisey ?

i found out today that i am missing my shims but they squeek anyway cause of the endless compound. next time i change my pads i will put in shims and change the fronts to bendix ultimates to see if i can fix the squeek

Wadda guess I'd go for the Greenstuff over Ultimates ... too many squeeky stories from Bendix users ...
