Guest Nismo_Freak
Decided to just dump the 26 into the 240SX (200SX). Heres the mods I will be running: R32 GTR Motor (Possibly R33) R33 RB25 Tranny Aluminum Single Peice Driveshaft Hardened 4.11 Rear End Gears Kaaz 1.5-Way LSD (still debating which to use) Blitz Skyline FMIC w/ Custom Piping Apexi Intakes w/ Cold Air Induction (try to encase the filters w/ box, if not I'll just duct ambient air) Blitz SBD iD Boost Controller Blitz Auto Timer 3" Custom Downpipe to 3" Blitz NUR Spec Exhaust (no cat) Haltech E6K Engine Management (moderately tuned for power, still want car to be somewhat reliable) 255Lph Walbro Fuel Pump RX7 Oil Cooler I believe thats about it for the mods. Im going to use stock turbos for a while and later upgrade to twin HKS2530s. I'd like to run about 1 bar if that is safe on the fuel system. I very open to opinions and suggestions. Let me know how this stuff works out on your GTRs. I'd like to get an estimate of what kind of power I would see at maximum SAFE boost levels. I'm perfectly willing to sacrifice power to maintain safe engine operation. I need a suggestion for a clutch as well. Thanks guys! kabab
on about 1.5bar which you should be able to achieve with a good tune you will get around 600hp on pump fuel with the 2530's Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/9942-general-power-output-rb26/#findComment-154992 Share on other sites
Guest Nismo_Freak
Figured since the 2530s can flow around 320 ps each I would get around there. However I was more or less wanting to know what I can acchieve on stock turbos. Also what kind of boost limits I would see with the stock fuel system (w/ 255 lph fuel pump) and stock turbos. Guest Nismo_Freak
Also pump fuel here is some crap gas still... its 93 octane  Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/9942-general-power-output-rb26/#findComment-155825 Share on other sites
kabab
I think the most you can get out of stock turbo's is 400hp'ish don't quote me on this.. As for your fuel just because its says its 93 octane doesn't mean its worse then ours, in the states they use another method to determin the octane rating so your 93 octane is probably better then our 98 octane stuff. Guest Nismo_Freak
Dunno... probably the same? WRXs get away with 14 psi on this "93". One of our gas stations underrates their gas... its 93 octane via label but it sure smells more like race gas than pump gas. It hasnt been tested but word is these stations have around 95-97 octane instead of 93 octane. I dunno, it doesnt seem logical why they would put higher quality, and more expensive gas and sell it as 93. Guest Nismo_Freak
BTW... we use the CLC method to determine gas octane. Volkswagon's old manuals (late 80s) said that their vehicle demanded 91 RON or 87 US Octane. They later mentioned that 95 RON is equivilant to 91 US Octane. So by this method 93 is 97 RON fuel. Im more or less trying to figure out what the motor will output at safe boost and what safe boost is. Also general output numbers work well for tuning. If I get the car up there and make 100 hp short of what alot of other people are getting then I know there is something wrong with the motor and I need to find out what it is. turbomad
From memory I read somewhere that the stock turbos are good for 240-250rwkw. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/9942-general-power-output-rb26/#findComment-157607 Share on other sites
slip
also have to remember that there may be a difference in what a particular aussie dyno reads as opposed to a particular US dyno.
