Aac Valve Plumbing, plumb to Boost side or Atmosphere

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have an Modded RB25 in an LJ Torana and have aquestion regarding the AAC valve, I have an aftermarket Plenum and not sure of the correct or factory plumbing for the AAC Valve, is the intake pipe to the valve supposed to be to atmosphere pre-Turbo or should it be plumbed pre-throttle body on the boost side? Thanks

If single TB plenum just find a location to "jump around" the throttle body. This will be pressurized under boost and of course the leg from the plenum (vacuum side) will be under vacuum so plan your hose accordingly. My Hypertune came with an adapter that actually could have been threaded directly to the manifold on the vacuum side (but I just used some pretty thick silicone hose I had).

Ok thanks for that, yes it is a single throttle body. The Value wasn't plumbed when I Bought it, it was just vented to Atmosphere and I wasn't sure if it would leak boost back through it when under pressure. I will plumb it back before the throttle body in the intercooler pipe.

Cheers
