  1. Yeh wayyyyy too many stickers, but then again a GTR badge on a Gts-t is just as lame (assuming it's a gts-t, rwhp?) Nice rides though. Schoolgirls would love them both equally
  2. Resin under your fingernails is lots of fun too But yeh, I wouldn't resin the top of the bonnet and it will be brittle and will probably crack. And I wouldn't lay weave down either because that will look a bit shitty. Any reinforcing you do should be done from the underside so flaws won't be seen. I have used the stuff from Bunnings for my bodykit. It was pretty average. My mate had a LOT more success with a repair kit for surfboards as the resin at this stage is a lot more mouldable where the bunnings stuff is like working with estapol until all of a sudden it turns to jelly then goes rock hard within 1 minute.
  3. Shit people what's wrong with you ;p This Skyline looks well well well worth the $18k. I paid 17.5k for mine and it was basically stock!
  4. I'm getting a Wolf 3D v4 installed into my car as we speak as it was what was recommended by my mechanic and there is a tuner nearby who knows both Wolf's and Microtechs well. He recommended the Wolf over the MT but didn't mention the PFC. As far as I'm concerned, as long as a good tuner is nearby, any computer should be fine. I'll let you know how my car feels next week
  5. For $15k though you will be pushing it to find a decent condition 1995 Gts-t. You could easily pick up a non turbo one for that but if I were you I'd try to spend more of that $20k on the initial purchase and save the mods for a little down the track. At the initial tiime of purchase, you're better of getting a better condition car than having a little left over for mods and skimpy on the quality. If you can extend the budget to say, $17-18k you will pick up a very good condition Skyline perhaps even with a few mods already on it. And you WILL be impressed. Skylines are in a far superior leage to Ford Falcons
  6. Anyone else got any ideas of what I can expect or by how much the stock injectors might hold me back?
  7. Been into turbo cars since 2000. Hadn't been in a single bloody one until Jan 04 when my mate took me for a spin in his ca18det auto 180sx. Meh not impressed, but loved being in an import. Feb 04 my brother mate took me for a spin in his 170rwkw WRX. Waahahhhh holy f'in f**8F******#*#^*#&^*&. 4 wheel air time. I couldn't roll a smoke afterwards because I was shaking so much. April 04 decided on a Skyline, got my loan and went to test drive one. It was stock but what got me the most was the smell and feel of the car. It was way too sexy to resist so I put a deposit on it that night and picked it up 3 days later. But yeh, first thing I thought was "hmm... not as fast as I expected" but it had so much style I didn't care. A year later and I've just dumped 10k into it all in one go. I'll let you know how I feel next week when I get it back
  8. Won't be touching injectors just yet. After I pay for all of this I'm going to be about $3500 in debt on my credit card My bank balance is now at $100. I'm really hoping that I can get 200rwkw. Not 199, I want 200 or a little over. I'm just hoping the stock injectors with the fuel press reg won't be a huge bottleneck. Small bottleneck I can handle, but not a huge one.
  9. Hey guys. I just dumped a crapload into the Skyline. 1994 S1 Gts-t coupe. Please let me know your opinions. Before Mods ---------------------- 3 inch catback 8psi. After Mods ---------------------- Garret 600*300 fmic kit Exhaust Dumpipe, Front Pipe, 3in High Flow Cat Apexi Power Filter Kit with cold air partition Walboro 500hp Intank Fuel Pump Malpassi Rising Rate Fuel Pressure Reg Platinum Spark Plugs IPS 460 Turbo (460hp) Wolf 3D V4 Plug n Play ECU with Handcontroller Bleed Valve (would like to run about 1 bar) All to be tuned by reputable tuner who knows Wolfs (approx 5-7 hour tune) ** I will be running stock injectors, can't afford new ones yet. I was advised the Fuel reg would help this** Now I'm not getting the car back until next week (can't sleep!!!). Can anyone give an estimate as to how much power I can expect and what times (assuming I do a decent run) I should be expecting? This is with a GOOD tune. I have no bloody idea what the car's going to be like when I get it back. NO IDEA. This car in it's stock form was the quickest car I've driven with the fastest one's I've been a passenger, 2005 Monaro and 170rwkw WRX. Please convince me as to how happy I'll be and how awesome my car will be so I can stop worrying about why the hell I just dumped ---thousands--- into this car. I'm a little stressed at the moment and also have no more money
  10. I just roll start then drive for 5-10 mins. It has worked 3 times on the same battery. I can't beleive the damn thing is still alive
  11. Flat batt. I've drained mine dead 3 times now whilst working on the stereo. If you don't drain it 100% the starter moter can make a really annoying constant buzz noise while you try and crank it over. If you drain the #^&*# out of it all the lights will come on but nothing will happen when you try to start it. Above is speaking from personal experience. Rollstarts are my friend and the battery's still going strong! (not really, it runs like shit but it still starts the car so I'm happy)
  12. earmuffs? earplugs? Damn it would need to be extremely loud to combat them...
  13. I remember first day in mine. First turbo I'd ever been in but the first thing I thought was damn, this thing isn't fast enough! Now a year later and I'm in the process of getting FMIC, Pod CAI, Bleed Valve to 10psi, dump added to my catback. Hopefully this will give it the GO I need to be satisfied
  14. N/A Supras are fast for what they are. Stock to stock, my S1 33 Gts-t is a little faster than my mates 96 n/a Supra which is damn good on behalf of the fact the Supra has no turbo. If I had have had more money when I went car shopping, would have gone the TT Supra for sure though. Much more of a beast than 33's, 34's, and n/a Sup's.
  15. The only thing the WRX will have in a straight line will be the launch. After that it's goodbye WRX. This is not opinion, but fact based on similar skilled drivers. We're not talking STI's here remember.
  16. Holy crap $500? I have the exact same problem. I guess the answer is to either pay the money, find a wrecked skyline, polish like a mofo or just make the new one look dirtier so they match.
