  1. so iv put in a jim berry full Monty clutch and a nismo slave cylinder and the clutch is right on the floor to the point where it JUST engages (wheels need to be turning) iv got the adjustment on the pedal the hole way out and iv got 13-14mm of travel at the slave there's 6 mm release on the pressure so that travel is just enough I'd like a couple more mm at the slave anyone know how to get it or go back to standard slave?
  2. so now iv defiantly got the fluid bled properly and the clutch won't engage all the way I swapped back to the original slave to see if that made a difference but its exact ally the same the only thing I can think of is that the thrust bearing isn't engaging because of the collar being smaller but that is the one Jim berry sent me that's meant to go with this clutch anyone got any ideas ill give Jim a call tomorrow but any help would be great
  3. thanks iv now got the pedal and the clutch feels somewhat normal so I turns the car on (still on the stands) and it won't engage properly im going to try bleeding it again to see if it fixes. when I installed the clutch I put the smaller 'collar' thing that the thrust bearing goes on would that be why it's not engaging properly or just needs to be re bleed?
  4. it was fine when I put the thrust bearing on it and the clutch folk feels fine
  5. okay so iv put in a Jim berry clutch so I thought I'd change the slave at the same time I got a nismo slave put it in and tryed to bleed it this is were the problem started not knowing there was a nipple on the master I started at the junction box thing getting next to no fluid coming out we kept pumping and still nothing moved onto the nipple on the slave and ended up getting a little movement from the slave but the pedal was still sticking to the floor on every pump having to pull it up then I read another post with the same kind of probs but it was a gtr and he fixed it by starting his car this is when I found the nipple on the master I bled this nipple then went to the box thing then i finished on the slave getting a good squirt out of all the nipples the problem is the pedal is still sticking to the floor and obviously air in the system now I'm thinking to get the nismo braided clutch line (does this go from slave to the master) would that help if it by passes the box thing? any help would be much appreciated
  6. missed it but that is a very good point ill get the compression tested that shoud tell me if the rings are not sealing properly right? I ended up frying the clutch this morning so that's gone to the top of the list at the moment
  7. and when I say it was blowing smoke it was that bad cars were slowing down/stopping because they couldn't see
  8. yup that's exactly what it does. I did a oil change last night and it hasn't done it since but I used the same amsoil 10 40 so now I'm more confused
  9. catch can is vented to the atmosphere. the only problem I can think of is the oil getting though the PVC valve. it doesn't do it ON boost it only does it AFTER is been boosted HARD so it's not rings or turbo seal
  10. sorry it's coming out the exhaust and what I meant was that i think it's coming out the cam cover into the plenum and out the exhaust
  11. koyo is the best 53mm thick and fits straight it with standard clutch fan and shroud
  12. hey people my 33 gtst it blowing heaps of smoke after boosting it hard iv got a feeling that its from the cam cover because it is fine anytime after that and it's a brand new turbo if it could be anything else let me know please
  13. I'm running amsoil at the moment can't remember the velocity 3rd had a bit of a crunch before I pulled it off the road and that was 6 months ago I should get it back from the tuner tomorrow so ill see how it goes with the power
  14. what oil do you run? does it crunch into any gears? how often do you drive it? do you race, drag or drift?
  15. they were rb25 boxes the first one I stripped the gearset second one destroyed 2nd and 3rd synchro. dog will be the way to go and it's not that much more for what it is hoping for over 500kw at the wheels and I don't want to be babying it lol
  16. vl was on bout 400kw and the sky has been getting tuned for the past week and haven't done the power run yet. got to drive them hard spend all that time and money I'm having done fun when I'm driving lol
  17. I went through 2 boxes in my vl and now my skyline is making more power then what the vl was so if rather do it sooner then later kind of thing. I was thinking dog but I can't even find someone to do synchro
  18. okay so I'm looking to upgrade my box to 5 Speed 1st-4th H/C Synchro Gear Set from ppg would love to hear from someone that has 1 to know if it's good. second problem is there anywhere around sydeny that does it wollongong area preferred. thanks in advance
  19. hate to bring up an old thread but I'm doing the same thing with the heater/swirl pot can someone give me a diagram/pics of what and how it's all hooked up would be a massive help
