  2. I live in Wollongong so jnt is nice and close as for other alloy stuff like sheets angles thick wall pipe ect i go to another local place called allyman they have piles of off cuts that you pay next to nothing for I always end up getting heaps more then I need
  3. And I found days industrial really cheap and helpful
  4. I had a everlast 185 for a while and it was every good for the price now iv got the cigweld 200 im still waiting on the foot pedal but welded up a gate yesterday with it and it was awesome
  5. Iv got a set of air nibblers but they are only good on very thin material
  6. Im starting a little fab shop from home mostly ally and at the moment iv got a little drop bandsaw from gasweld and it is unreal cuts upto 4 1/2 inch its straight and true I just tapped a hole exactly at 90 degree so all cuts are perfect. Even set up a jig to make 6 into 1 merge collectors. Another way is a circular saw (mikita drop saw) with a alloy blade works well but get a couple black specs in the welds sometimes. What is everyone using to cut sheets?
  7. No worries if you need parts let me know iv got a stripped Manuel vlt and I'll be going powerglide one day
  8. Rb25 Etm manifold gt3582 with t04z wheel and highflowed 4inch exhaust Microtech lt16 Spitfire coils Forward facing plenum 850cc injectors 2x 044 Process west 96mm thick cooler Jim berry full Monty clutch Eboost 2 Didn't make the dyno only street tuned and cracked ring lan and ripped engine mount apart
  9. And you might need to space the crossmember off the body 20mm so that it goes into gear without hitting floor pan and you'll need the floor pan plate out of a manual or holesaw your auto one

  11. The vlt mx7 gearbox has a bigger bell housing so the rb25 fits in easy. A mx7 tail shaft fits as well you will also need to adapt the vl slave (drill and tap 2 holes) or use a rb25 slave and get a new line made up use a rb25 fly and clutch aswell and there's something you need to rewire to get the tail lights to work I think that's all it's been a while sine iv done it
  12. Yeah I will for sure ill read that thread properly aswell tonight
  13. I was planing on just welding the port on the bitten of the head were the oil exits and grub screwing the solenoid hole from what I understand the cam bearings will still get oil from the head it just won't be able to get out the bottom if that makes sense
  14. I'm going to have a mesh cage kind of thing around the pickup pipe and a micron filter in the fitting and iv got a filter relocation kit in the cooler line would that be enough? I'm mostly worried about the best place to plumb the oil back into the motor from the pump at the moment
  15. I'm in the final stages of my oil system and wanted peoples advice/ideas Ill be running an external single stage pump Sump is going to be a custom alloy baffled and high volume setup that iv designed myself it will have fittings for oil pump, catch can breather, front oil return from head, rear oil return from head Vct will be blocked off with 1.2 restrictors in the block and drilled out returns in the block Oil cooler is currently set up from factory oil filter but that was where I was going to put the line for the oil pump is that the best place to put it? engine is a rb25/30
  16. I'm looking at getting a nismo cluster and wanted to know if there is a way to change the k's to the same as what's on my car main reason is there's only 32000 on it
  17. I though it was the screw/bolt aswell double checked it and checked power going into the ecu ill check the pins when I get home. I forgot to mention iv had trouble with this ecu before it wouldn't turn off and it had to get sent back to get something changed could it be the same thing just opposite?

  19. There is no smell and there is no lights on when cranking iv had trouble with the plug before i double checked it all and I just checked all the fuses aswell so I'm guessing its the computer
  20. Need a second opinion iv had my computer on the floor for a while and thought is better mount it I made up a alloy bracket using the standard one as a template and went to turn the car on and computer wouldn't turn on I think iv shorted out the plug in and blown something in the computer iv checked and there is power at both ends of the plug in motherboard and at the plug going into the microtech and I couldn't find any blown fuses anywhere does anyone know what iv blown?
  21. At the start was to make the pedal lighter
  22. okay it's driving and I'm stoked the problem was the nismo slave does NOT have enough travel to engage a jim berry clutch! the standard slave with the adjustment on the pedal all the way out is what iv got now and the clutch is grabbing bout an inch off the floor. so iv taken my nismo slave to the shop and its getting resleeved down to 11/16 which is 1/16 smaller then standard which by theory will give me approx 1.5-2mm more travel on the slave allowing me to adjust the pedal back to where it should be and I should have clutch engagement at 80-100mm off the floor or to where I feel comfortable around that I hope this helps someone else because iv had one massive headache the past week trying to work out the problem
  23. so been reading as much as I could find seams this problem has happen before and the guy resleeved the slave even smaller and it fixed the problem I think that's what I'll be doing in the morning any other ideas please let me know
  24. the nismo slave has a bigger diameter bore not more travel. that's what jim berry told me he said in some cases it has less I'm going to put the standard one back in tomorrow and see just wanted to know if there was any other way
