  1. If they have not seated the spring correctly it will actually turn the spring in it's seat. Having all the weight of the car on them will cause it to make a deep sprung jolting noise...this is the base of the spring moving. If this is the case then you should have it fixed by the people that lowered your car.
  2. Now that should put some minds at ease. Very informative Cyrus. This means that the ATMO blow off valve is LEGAL provided it does not make "excessive noise" and or cause the emissions to increase or blow smoke. ????? Not 100% sure but that's how I understood it. And it also means that you cannot be booked for just "having" a blow off valve, they must prove that it is, indeed, excessively noisy. It is also my understanding from reading the above post that you cannot be booked for your tyres "chirping" if it was unintentional. Is this correct?

    Need Help!

Have you tried Cresta Australia 07-3245-1555 also your next best bet is the panel house
  4. yeah you can buy them aftermarket. I will find out the part number tomorrow for you and how much. We probably have one in stock at work coz we do the 33's all the time.
  5. I believe there is also a drain bung in the block about 3/4 of the way back on the passenger side. Kinda only accessible from underneath.
  6. You would save money if you sold your kit and your car and bought an ACTUAL GTR. They are currently going for around $28,000 I think. It would cost a fortune to get that panel and paint work done. I can understand you wanting to fit that kit to your car as the GTR is one sexy bitch but honestly, you will be forking out way too much money to do it. And at the end of the day it is still a GT25T with a widebody kit and a 26 transplant. I don't think people should be as rude as they are being to you as you can do what you like to your car. It may not conform with others tastes but your car will be unique and the way you like it. Don't worry about what people are saying but if you go ahead and do it....expect to get shit for it. It's just one of those things.
  7. GT28-RS has a very fast spool time. Is well known for it anyway.
  8. Pick me!....pick me!! ECU_pin_config_GTR.bmp Knock_pinout_GTR.bmp
  9. I would use redline shockproof around a 90 for the gearbox and a 140 weight for the diff.
  10. The exhaust system does not give your engine it's backpressure. The turbo does. By changing the exhaust system you allow the turbo to extract gasses more freely which means that turbo response INCREASES. Boost will come on sharper and you will be less likely to spike or overboost. The smaller the exhaust system, the less boost you are able to run. I know the above to be fact, however, I will say this: I don't personally have dyno proof of when the power change is in a 3 inch system but I can assure you that it definately won't make it laggier. It will only remain the same or increase response.
  11. why do you need a specialist.....or are you taking the piss?
  12. No-one said anything about running 666cc/min injectors on an 800hp GTR. I would pick something like a 720. As I stated....go up another 50 cc or so...or to the next available size. What I was getting at was don't go out and buy 1000cc injectors if you are only aiming at 300rwkw. There is an equation to work it out and I have provided it. In answer to the previous statement : yes, the standard GTR injectors will be good for around 530 engine hp.
  13. maybe there is a leaf stuck inside. Have fixed this problem on many cars.
  14. NOT that I watch my dog taking a crap either....so don't start on me!
  15. Wasn't mine....I think my G/F's friend wrote it. Got it in an email. Thought I would share the humour. My grammar skills, whilst not being perfect, are somewhat better than above. I think she meant planet....not plant. Can't be sure though. I can't say I have ever seen a plant drinking alcohol, but that doesn't mean they don't. My dog doesn't like to be watched when it's taking a crap so it could be the same thing.
  16. Will not have an adverse effect on your car. Stop worrying. I did this 2 years ago and had no problems since. Say bye bye silly man in WRX you cannot go coasting past at 205 anymore you imbecile.
  17. Have a look in the Manual Download thread. I am pretty sure he has that one there.
  18. Ahhh, the good old microguess. I shouldn't really need to explain myself. Problems are too much fuel as the larger injectors are harder to tune to smaller amounts. What cars do these mates of yours have?
  19. The GCG turbos rated at 450hp are machined paper thin and will not last You should get better than a 13 with traction.
  20. Also....DO NOT GO TOO BIG OTHERWISE YOU WILL HAVE TUNE PROBLEMS. As close to what you want as possible....don't get 750's when you only need 550's.
  21. You will need to remap your computer or run aftermarket gear to use bigger injectors. THIS IS THE FORMULA YOU WILL NEED TO WORK IT OUT: Work out the horsepower you want to achieve DIVIDE that figure by the number of cylinders you have Then MULTIPLY that figure by 5. This will give you the approx CC/Min rating you will require. EG. GTR wanting 800 (Engine) HP will require (800 / 6) X 5 = ~ 666 cc/min injectors Then add 50cc/min for good measure so that you wont max them out. The trick is to come up with an engine horsepower figure that is approx. 20% more than what you really want. Hope this helps.
  22. Yeah but if I brought my mate along and someone declared a commowhore bash, then I don't want to have to bash my mate. yunno, in the general jolliness of the event.
  23. Pinout can be found on the meggala website I think.... www.meggala.com/main.htm
  24. I have a full working copy on DVD if anyone still wants to get it. Also included are the 32 GTR and GTST manuals, 33 Manual and acrobat reader to view them. Cover the cost of the DVD and postage and anyone can have a copy. Plus throw in a spare DVD for good measure.
