  1. the GTR bush should be the large one. So if it's a GTR box, the smaller bush should not be able to fit the GTR gearbox. Failing that, take both bushes off and try to swap them, if the larger bush will not go on (requires a lot of force and you need to pop it in at an angle) then go down to your local nissan and buy the RB25 shifter bush which should fit directly (but it's larger like the GTR one so I don't know if you are going to run into trouble there. I still can't get my head past the smaller bush, it shouldn't have a small hole in there in the first place
  2. A cheap trick you could try there is to under drive it by putting on a larger pulley. I am pretty sure the Neo has a small diameter pulley for the water pump. You could try fitting one from a 32GTST or 32GTR which, if I'm not mistaken, is larger in diameter? which should slow it down a tad. Worth a try if all else fails and certainly cheaper than pulling the head off....which should be the last port of call
  3. what water pump are you using? I didn't read back in case you already answered that sorry
  4. +1 emanual knows everything
  5. The outside diameter of the nylon bush is the only difference I am aware of. We have swapped the nylon bushes over many times. There is a difference between RB25 and GTR, though, so you may have an RB25 shifter or vice versa. Let me get this straight, you have changed an RB26/RB25 gearbox for a RB20 one? Why on earth would you do that?
  6. You can swap the bushes on the bottom quite easily
  7. Both are factory shifters. The top one looks like RB20DET, the bottom one looks like GTR The only difference is the bush size on the bottom and the overall length. The throw should be the same inside
  8. The day ppl start mating with Chimps, is the day I buy my 12 gauge and start culling
  9. but......offtopic!!
  10. 3500 hmm, dunno about that but the boys at EFI put a GT42R on a CA and it made 46psi by about 5500 and 52psi at about 5600rpm. It only made 516rwhp but it had an unopened non turbo bottem end so they didn't want to push it too hard
  11. Were they located in Perth?
  12. wtf Noel! The rope is going to reduce the cc capacity of the chamber, in turn, reducing it's volumetric gallop ratio
  13. then it wouldn't be legal now would it? Don't you read? sheesh!
  14. Well, the gearbox shouldn't be a problem. The sump will have to be reduced in length due to the swap from 6 cylinder to 4 cylinder. It's easy if you lock the transfer to make it constant 4wd. If you want to retain the ATTESSA system, it will be quite expensive. I would say buy a VL and be done with it
  15. assume the horse is completely legal but it's non turbo.
  16. That's how I start out. Battery cables, generator, hooks and chains is how I finish
  17. You and your father may not be used to the engage point of the clutch so you are letting it out quickly without having revs to match it. If the car has a factory clutch fitted, it should be quite smooth. If it has a button clutch (which it probably wouldn't) or if the flywheel was lightened, then maybe clutch related. Otherwise, I think maybe getting used to it a little more might help. Obviously it's hard to work out what you mean from a description online but if it keeps it up, take it somewhere so someone experienced can drive it and feel for themselves
  18. yes but you may need to record yourself making the noise and put it up on youtube so I can be sure
  19. I use a wooden spoon and an exuberance not unlike a 15 year old with a new drum set
  20. if you sold him the wrong part, he is within his rights to request his $50 back
  21. Yeah I can take days to reply to emails, sometimes they slip through the cracks unanswered I am just grateful that SOMEONE stands up to do these jobs. We wouldn't have much of a club if people didn't
  22. I will make an example of you in front of Noel if you're not careful!
