  1. Just a question... Do you still have the factory boost solenoid in place?
  2. You are going to pay a shit load on insurance even for the non-turbo variant. My advice would be to buy something you know you will be able to afford. Don't settle for the non-turbo if it's the turbo model you are really after. I'd be inclined to go for something cheaper that is turbo like a 180sx or silvia.

  6. Just buy an R33 GTST box. They are the same strength as a GTR.

This looks a little worrying: Upon revving this engine in the garage no load tuning, it was making all six pipes glow red hot on a slightly lean run, and pipes 5 and 6 were alot hotter than the rest. Im a bit worried to give this engine full boost. If no one can give me the correct advice, I may try to cure this by slightly restricting the air flow to the back of the plenum. The lower end torque is much higher.

  9. Of course it works. ARC make an intercooler for this application. My uncles R32 has the same setup....Works a treat.
  10. Only one in the world you say? Sorry but I think you are wrong. I don't want to get into this argument here but there are a number of VL Turbo's producing big power figures on stock internals. The link I posted earlier proves that you don't need expensive manifolds or internals to produce big power.

  12. I'm reading this and cannot believe it. Awesome work guys. Makes you wonder why people fork out for greddy plenums, big HKS turbos, aftermarket exhaust manifolds, aftermarket this and that and still get no where near a 10 second 1/4. Do you sell the motor as a package? If only you had contacts in Aus so we could get our hands on one.
  13. So what's going to happen to the resale value of R32 GTR's when 89 models start flooding in next year, all costing around the $17k mark??!?!?
  14. That's what I'm concidering at the moment R32 GTR or R34 GTT. Im leaning toward the R34 because it's a lot newer and would be A LOT less maintenance.
  15. I had a gearbox recon under warranty. New synchros and bearings $1900 all up.
  16. I wouldn't recommend black. Even though it looks damn nice, it's soooo hard to keep clean.
