  1. Hey guys.. Changed my coolant on the weekend. When I first got the car it had a suspected stuffed water pump which leaked under pressure test apparently, but was always fine when I drove it, just had to top up water every few months. Basically my water was brown and sludgy so I decided to change it finally and put some very nice new coolant and a radiator flush additive. Flushed all the gunk out and now my car seems to be overheating. I have bled the system from the top etc.. but still having problem with overheating. Personally I think all the crud that was in the system was holding all the parts together, now theres fresh stuff in there the water pump is stuffing up or possibly the thermostat. Basically short drives its ok, but if I head down the freeway it starts creeping up to about 3/4 high on temp guage where it usually sits below half way prior to flushing it. Shouldnt have touched it I guess my question is that is if theres anywhere I can take it to get it tested and possible prices for a new R33 GTST water pump supplied and fitted (prefferably around rockingham area as I prefer not to stop every 15mins down the freeway if further), if anyones got one replaced before and if the symptoms sound about right. Any ideas? Cheers Damo
  2. God damn, I was on my way up there and my car started overheating after I changed the coolant yesterday. Waited a while, added water and purged air from the top, thought it was good, then about 20mins down the road, same problem. Nursed it home, but not happy
  3. Cheers Michael, your a legend, ive been having problems for ages with this and last night i was driving down the freeway with my hids constantly flickering so people thought i was flashing them. Finally my right one went out Will check the fuse box/relays now.
  4. Im having the same problem. My HID's are flickering and sometime seems to be brighter than others. Any ideas?
  5. Well, i got 257rwhp and i did a 13.7 with same mods as Eric (Pal), but with 18x265x35 rears and little to no grip, and the 1st time ive ever been down the drags... So I think mid 13s are easily acheivable.
  6. Josh, SAFC2 was tuned previously also when the auto gearbox was in to give him the first figure. The only difference is the gearbox between tunes, correct me if im wrong Eric.. Miller, about the same.. 3"turbo back, pod, fmic, 10psi = 257rwhp Eric (Pal) has same mods, but a filter element in airbox instead of pod filter
  7. 255.8rwhp is good Eric, congrats... even though its no 256.7
  8. Ive got a set of 18" Work rims. 18x8 front, 18x9 or 18.9.5 on the rear. I like the look, not overstated. I too was thinking about the 19" bling bling look, but I thought id have to join a gang, use bad grammar and insult 'ma bitches...
  9. i just got an xforce 3" stainless system for my GTST, few places do them for around $1000 fitted, I got mine from hyperdrive. Very happy with the system
  10. works is on albany highway bentley. Speedworks is different
  11. Noise, the guy finally got back to me after I logged a complaint and it looks like ill get it now. So all is good. alpha, its a do luck kit, very sexy, very expensive
  12. So .. is it just a cam walking around cars, or do you see some driving too? Cheers damo
  13. thats what I thought the deal was with tax, it hardly makes it worth it to get a 2nd job or do much overtime. No wonder people do cash in hand work etc...
  14. You can do it yourself if you got some time up your sleeve. As long as you get your self a good 3" metal hole saw, those kits are pretty easy to install, you just need patience and small hands to get into the finnicky bits. Took me about a day to do, but i was using wrong tools and didnt know what I was doing And yes.. std turbo = low mount
  15. $110 for total incomes tho... from what i know, if you earn $600 a week full time, then $200 part time, you'd get taxed 30% or whatever on $490, then 40% on $200. hardly makes it worth it
  16. i thought it didnt matter what age you were when your an adult and work full time. Also.. if you work full time and get another job, isnt the tax something cronic like 49% ... it would barely make it worth it would it
  17. Yeh do luck kits are pure porn, but cant find anyone to supply in australia
  18. Im after one too. I just got ripped on ebay, paid the money plus courier fees to WA and the bugger nicked off Im looking one for a R33 GTST, but dont want 400r, veilside or GTR copy, but thats about all you can get these days. Sucks...
  19. about $6500 with std gtst turbo, ecu, safc2 and FMIC etc.. i think i heard I reckon, unless your attached to your car, you'd be better off selling the n/a and getting a turbo model. Just my 2c tho...
  20. Sweet. What area are you in.. warnbro? PS.. i need my car tinted too
  21. Yeh slightly. You can check them out on the car on thursday. They're aftermarket something, no idea what tho until i get them out. Im only changing the rears i think as the fronts are pretty damn low as it is. If you want eric, you can try em out in your car when i get them out and make me an offer if your interested
  22. Serg: Im installing those super low springs. Im not going to drive my car that often now as im moving to a new site which is only 10mins drive to work, so if my car is stupidly low, i dont really care Breathless: Cheers, I think you might only live around the corner from me, im in warnbro. I may need some tips installing them too Cheers Paul, If i dont get hold of them closer, ill take a drive up and borrow them off you. Thanks.
  23. Hey guys.. Just as the topic suggests, anybody have any spring compressors I could borrow over a weekend? Just need them to change my rear suspension, depending how long that will take. Cheers damo
  24. I think you misunderstood. I wasnt saying that autos are slow and that only pansys drive them, I was saying erics car is basically the same mods done as mine, and ive got faster times, with the only difference being the gearbox as I can launch better with the clutch and manual box. And I wasnt having a go at anyone, just saying in comparision
  25. Well.. i hate to tell you this... but your under the woman catagory (not meaning to be rude) Manual conversion will bring erics times down heaps i reckon. My car has 'similar' mods but he has less RWHP and his best 1/4m time was 14.2 i think, whereas mine was 13.7 (with grippier tyres probably less), the only difference really is the manual gearbox
