  1. Yeh man.. im very keen on the idea. 2nd hand and excess parts are the way to go
  2. DO IT ERIC.. you wont regret it. Autos are for old men and women, your not either are you ?
  3. Im with HBF, they will more than likely require your car to be valued, but most car yards can do that, I think all they really need is a price on a piece of paper with a letterhead really. Price sounds about right. Im paying about $950 i think, 24yrs old and my mods are insured. 55% no claim bonus helps tho..
  4. Yeh .. i got mine valued at autoworx.. Paul is a champ. Would highly reccommend him. I too didnt buy my current car from him, but would definately consider getting my next from him due to him helping us out
  5. Nothing to be proud of buddy.. im thinking your going to have a fun time trying to get insurance
  6. OK.. ill keep to the good stuff for my car, luckily i bought them for my mums pulsar which uses the same Z145A, she can have the cheapies
  7. Don't get a $2.99 oil filter, you'll only get flamed ...
  8. Yeh what 7yphon said. Look... personally if i were running my car for 20000kms between oil changes then, yeh, i would fork out the extra few bucks.. but in the end.. im running it for 5000kms then changing the oil and filter so I highly doubt that my engine will die due to that. My engine is getting very high in Km's as it is, about 190000, if its going to die its going to die because of excessive kms, not a cheap oil filter IMHO
  9. I just got a set of BCPR6ES from repco Ill send you a PM with details.
  10. Well.. as I said previously.. the build quality looks perfectly fine to me. And you said that the problems with them dont become apparent for a long time. Considering I drop my oil every 5000kms and drive about 100kms a day to work and back, theoretically im changing my oil every 2months 2 weeks (10 weeks). If i can save $10 a filter for pretty much the same thing, then yeh, ill do it. BTW.. if my car is going to die, it wont be from a oil filter, it'd be due to some old granny pulling out in front of me going 50kms under the speed limit like they always tend to do.
  11. I think you got off pretty easy if he didnt sticker you. As far as I know they can do you for just about anything, and the onus is on you to prove that its correct or get it changed. Correct me if im wrong, but BOV's are illegal if they were fitted aftermarket, along with everything else aftermarket.
  12. I used one of these cheapies in my mums pulsar, same 145a and looks virtually identical to anything else. For $2.99 you cant complain
  13. yeh my point exactly. Look, most of us change our oil/oil filters every 5000kms anyway, i doubt the difference between a good oil filter and a cheap one will make a difference
  14. Hey guys.. Just wondering if anyones had any experience with these. They take place of the sump plug allowing you to open it easier. http://www.fumoto.com.au/ Im now dropping my oil every 5000kms and thought these might just make it that much easier, plus theres no chance of stripping the thread etc.. Is anyone actually running one of these systems on their R33 GTST by any chance?
  15. Hey guys.. just thought i'd let you know I just went to Supercheap auto and found they've got generic branded oil filters for $2.99. I picked up 4x Z145A compatible (part no. SC6) filters for around the price i paid last week for 1 repco or ryco filter Just thought i'd let you guys know. PS. Supercheap auto in Rockingham is now out thanks to me
  16. no idea, i didnt go that way. I think Impul-R32 broke down a few times during the night with intercooler pipe issues and exhaust gasket problems, i doubt it was as bad as a dead turbo tho, could be wrong tho...
  17. My best MPH over the line was only 102.97. Damn my single turbo rwd
  18. I wish id seen a few more cars run, i was too busy lining up all night. Everyone seemed to go after the burnouts, i reckon i still got another 6 or so runs after that. Last 3 runs i just drove straight around then basically straight upto the line, there was barely anyone left. I think i got 13 runs in total
  19. Hate to pull you up Liz.. but its under 10.99 not 11.99
  20. oh.. btw, cheers Dan and Liz and whoever else was in charge of organising us the lane, although I was keen to sneek in the V8 lane and try my luck. The only V8 I ran against was a AU XR8 on the last run of the night for me, beat him off the start, started to pull away from him and he just slowed right down and gave up.. god damn, that was one of my 13.7 runs too
  21. man.. you gotta paint your intercooler black and put some stocko wheels or wheels with hubcaps on, so it looks as stock as possible and dominate unsuspecting V8s
  22. Yeh i didnt see much of anyone elses runs unfortunately. When I was heading off to have a look, our lane would start moving. The fully sick turbo/supercharged EF (?) that ran 10s was pretty cool, didnt look anything special, just a kwinana spec ford with big ass tyres and i was shit.. thats quick
  23. dude.. im sure GOTBOOST is going to correct you .. but its a GTS4 Got in a couple of photos Whoo hoo. Yeh was a good night. My first time down the plex im pretty happy with best time of 13.7 running on 18s in street trim and big ass stereo etc.. If I can fix my 60ft times it'll be a heap better i reckon.
