I am also after a good suspension place , my TEIN Coilovers have just arrived and I want to find a good place I can trust to install them and set them up correctly. Is bridgestone on gouger st still good?, I know Steve , Whatisname etc used to Rave about them.

Awesome event!!, the drivers were awesome. The D1 drivers were very good, but I'd have to say the Aussie drivers expecially the factory class were just as good... very impressed with the level drift is at presently. As far as I saw the police were not hassling anyone, we only saw 1 coming into Malalla with lights on to slow drivers down.... tho there were atleast 5 police cars in the event which I thought was strange. and argh sunburn , even with apply in sunscreen atleast 3 times .

Yet another reason why I only ever gone on SAU organised cruises. SAU memebers that attend are all competent drivers, and have enough common sense to keep things small and well organised. About time people faced reality that things will only get more stringent if anything... adapt and overcome. All the winging, "l33t sp34k", and "f### you cops" just makes them more determine and angry. Read the NS.com forums one day and you will realise why the Police are so out to get performance car drivers... people bragging about doing breakneck speeds and avoiding police... yep that is smart and great for the modified car scene!!!!! /end rant

Howdy Danish, Umm I dont not have any close-up pic's of the pump or bay but I will try to get some up asap. On the Powersteering note mine is again making noise under load... sometimes it is minimum , and sometimes it is loud.... so basically the pump is still shagged and is going to need preplacing to get rid of the noise .. or rebuild with a new seal/bearing kit... it works ok so I will live with it at the moment I guess. As for engine leaks my car does not have any... the engine came from a half cut out of a JZA70-R and it looks like all the proper servicing was done whilst in Japan (including the proper 100,000km service ..eg timing belt). Umm only things that were replaced by the previous owner (in Aus) was the harmonic balancer (nfi what it is LOL) and the waterpump. The only real issues I know of is the turbo's on the 1JZ can be fragile when boosted to much... mine has not been boosted in Aus, and half cut never had any type of boost kit installed.

At the start it worked fine but it was just very noisy under load...very noisy. Then it developed a leak and dumped all the fluid. So basically the fixed the leak (in the high pressure hose), and put new fluid in. I think the problem was (before the leak) was that the fluid was not gettting through properly.. not sure why. Are you sure your steering rack is ok?

ended up going to Rowell & Seale on pultney... they did an awesome job.. didnt need rebuilding they repaired a leak and a few other things and all seems well.

Yep agree with everyone, Andrew those pic's are awesome and your car looks bloody fantastic ! I am definately keen to do the same sort of night shots with my car , an SAU event would be excellent. I am a big fan of the port area as a backdrop too.

Dean it is the motor not the rack (thank god ) Joel enough out of u Umm ok I will c about getting it rebuilt, the thing was rebuilt only 2 years ago too so whoever did that didn't do it prop GFXMan, mate it doesnt make a noise anymore, it leaks and doesn't work under 2000rpm now LOL.

Hey All, I have an issue with my power steering..... basically it is f@ked! Can anyone recommend someone that can fix these and wont rip you off? I was thinking of maybe going a new one , but NFI where u would buy a brand new pump for an import? Cheers Rob.

I agree that you have to work on the relationship first off, at the start they will treat you just like any normal customer... They have to as they are a business, and they can't just offer mates rates to everyone. That said there are certainly some dodgy people out there that will try to rip you off any chance they get regardless of how good your relationship is with the workshop... been there done that with my last workshop. I currently have good connections with another workshop that hasn't enjoyed a good rep on this forum, but all my work is done by 1 person out of "business hours". I would also not go to this workshop unless this 1 person worked on my car. This came around as I know someone etc, and is the only reason I am getting "mates rates". On Boostworx I have not had anything to do with Boostworx, but have heard great things, that said I would not go into the workshop prepared to get a deal that Matt got, and I would just be like any normal customer. Also his yellow car was a damn good choice IMO On D1: D1 Garage are awesome (tks Steve for recommending ), Rob there has given me loads of info and is always willing to answer any questions I have ... helps when we have sister cars . They will definately be getting continued business from me.
