  1. ^ on an unmodified stock turbo?!
  2. If only we could tell what timing we could put into setup changes without looking at a car... "more" is usually the answer, but really it needs to be tuned to suit to find out the amount. Possibly none at some points, and possibly several degrees at other points
  3. E85 could work quite well, fyi 98RON we get in NZ and Oz is equivalent to 89MON
  4. What has changed in between? You obviously decided to do some kind of re-tuning at some point seeing the injector duty cycle has changed. What ECU are you running? And where do you experience knock?
  5. Hmm 13psi by those rpm isn't especially impressive tbh, but the torque curve will be the real teller.
  6. How on earth do you run 13psi on 1.6bar springs? Good power for that boost though really.
  7. 650kw on GT28s, and "set at " 400whp.... hmmm...
  8. Will be interesting to see how it goes... No rpm on the plots, where do you get full boost and how does out drive?
  9. This is what I was getting, too... Where do you get that from? It looks to deliver more everything than the -10s on less boost?
  10. Awesome! Thanks for sharing, that simple bit of text is basically the most constructive info I've seen on these units Thats more like what I've been hoping to hear, fingers crossed - bring on more of the same!
  11. Cheers for the response So would it be fair to say it is a bit like having GT2860-5s that punch as hard, or harder than -10s?
  12. Awesome! Now we're talking, that sounds like quite a serious beast - nice work :-)
  13. Awesome, thanks for sharing - now we're getting somewhere Are both of those plots on the same fuel?
  14. Interesting, what a pain in the ass - regarding the "S_PS" thing. Its still respectable, probably better than a typical GT3582R plot but still.
  15. Not sure who that is directed at, I knew the dotted line was power. The 4000rpm line is a bit hard to nail down exactly, but at 4140rpm it looks to me to be sitting at around 294ps (216kw) which is fairly stout in my books.
  16. Yeah that's why I assumed it was wps, I have seen DD plots using Shoot6f so figured it was standard
  17. How can you tell its inflated flywheel power? I'm not that familiar with DD dynos.
  18. From start till now I've been wanting to see good results from the things, I was very seriously looking into heading towards an EFR for my own car but am just calling it like I am seeing it and hoping someone will counter it. Pretty sure these are the results I've come across, in summary: EFR6258 - 2 different dyno results (one is a pair on a GTR, other is on a 4cyl), one failure EFR6758 - 2 different dyno results EFR7670 - 1 dyno result, 1 failure EFR8374 - 2 dyno results EFR9180 - 2 dyno results, 1 failure And huge delays, all around. All those cases can be verified with some time and cunning use of Google, I've heard people refer inspecifically to other failures or cases where they have been used but not added them to the count due to it being very inspecific. By stating what I've seen, as I've seen them... good or bad - I'm not a hater, it is what it is. If there were heaps of awesome results, I'd be raving about the awesome and be getting called a fanboi.
  19. The curve is a lot less steep than some because its not a peaky power delivery It'd read less in kw, but its still at 280ps (208kw) by around 4000rpm and reaches 526ps (390ishkw) which makes for a pretty impressive spread of grunt.
  20. Do you use a MAP sensor or AFM? If AFM, odds are it'd be running rich if thats the case. Exhaust leaks in my experience tend to be way noisier, and leaks on the manifold side tend to be harsher (almost a mechanical scream) - on the dump pipe side tend to be a bit more of a weird noise which could be described as trumpety. These are just observations based on my point of view when I've seen these things, could be wrong - but exhaust leaks are usually pretty easy to spot as there will be discolouration from where the gas has been escaping.
  21. OK I am sure there was a post elsewhere which made it seem like the R32 had Garretts on it - are there any dyno results for it? Does the owner of it have any thoughts he can add on the change from the Garrett to EFR equivalents?
  22. Going by this dyno plot, a GT3582R with an ATP T4 1.06a/r twin scroll turbine housing will more or less hit the magical 200kw by 4000rpm mark on an RB25:
  23. Its concerning that 8 months on from the point that they started leaking into the market the confirmed failure versus performance proof ratio of EFR turbos I've found is worse than the likes of XSPower etc. If this murmur of failures from the event proves any truth it'll be more like 50:50. The best results I've seen from them so far make them no more attractive to me than the Forced Performance HTA turbos, and at a higher price. Its definitely bad enough that there is now no way I'd recommend them to anyone, price aside - unless there is eventually a convincing amount of good results over a period of time. I hope people start having better luck!
  24. Any more details? Which cars, EFR models? Realistically if there isn't any solid info then it could be typical pit area chinese whispers.
