  1. Awesome! Sounds like you have until Nov to try give HT something to aim for
  2. Wow I didn't realise it was that hard a hit That sucks... I hope it can be sorted soon enough. Puts into perspective how much is on the line for these guys pushing the limits. Respect
  3. HT weren't there today, doing things in prep for this weekend. Here is a vid of one of the test runs yesterday:
  4. HT have finished testing for today - last run was a 7.73 @ 187mph. They are coming to grips with what it wants and there is plenty in reserve for the weekend, should be a good one!
  5. I actually don't know if HTR will be racing into the night, or what their intentions are. Sounds like they are quite happy with traction levels, they have just getting on top of the clutch - next run looks like they might put a little more power into it and see how it goes
  6. Nice, though bummer you don't have time for more testing. Sounds like there will be 7s all round though so will be an awesome day! Reece's first run today was a bog by the sounds of it, still trying to find the sweet spot for a sticky Oz track.
  7. I will again give any updates I can on Heat Treatments and Godzillas progress as or if I get them. Sounds like Mark was testing yesterday but was overpowering the track, means they aren't lucking in grunt but means there weren't necessarily any exciting times to report. Fingers crossed today they are there and can tame the beast
  8. Yep testing from 11am, Heat Treatments will definitely be there. I reckon there could be a chance today would be a good day to be there if you want to see a world record get cracked...
  9. Are the Godzilla Motorsport guys there? I've heard no mention of them - Heat Treatments did 7.8 @ 184mph with a straight "soft" run. Should be quicker next run...
  10. Heat Treatments will be doing their first test run today, any time now...
  11. That sounds like an awesome test day all around! Hope there is some vid of both cars from it, very much looking forward to hearing the results Good luck! Raise the bar, everyone
  12. Ahhh bummer I hope people put vid up as I'm not even in the right country to see any of this. Yeah good idea, reasonably safe bet you'll see some of the fastest/most dramatic runs you'll ever see a GTR do if you make it to any events it runs at.
  13. Its a bit of a beast now, even compared to then. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't mess about getting it into the 7s - so long as track is semi decent. I was more thinking of when they go under 7.5
  14. It won't be the only day they'll be aiming to do before Jambo anyway, and I wouldn't be expecting to see any records rewritten from the outset either - obviously its always awesome to watch but I'd say Jamboree would be the one to hang out for
  15. They said from 3pm Wednesday, so I would assume it could end up going into night. Is there an event that day?
  16. Is that a twin scroll internally gated turbine housing? In regards to other questions asked here, the 1.06a/r T4 twin scroll GT3076Rs spool AWESOME in all the cases I have seen - quicker than the .82a/r T3 housing when used with a proper T4 TS manifold. It'd go very very nicely! Hell, a GT3582R with a 1.06a/r T4 Twin scroll housing spools similar to a .82a/r T3 GT3076
  17. Its going to be fully epic Good luck Godzilla Motorsport, make the HT guys work for it.... its been years since I've seen that car battling another GTR down the 1/4, the intensity of seeing two mid 7s GTRs fight it out would be awesome! I am of course going to have to wave the HT banner, haha. But a new record would be awesome to hear about in general!
  18. Thats fricken awesome, fastest street Skyline in the world?
  19. I wouldn't get too wound up about ball bearing vs plain bearing, there are quite a few journal bearing turbo combinations out there which give the BB Garretts a run for their money.... pay attention to the reliability/performance/owners comments of turbo combinations instead of what the marketing say. In terms of non-water cooling, what are you intending on using it for?
  20. Turbine whine is easy to sort out, just get anything which a decent antisurge setup The GT3794HTA and the Garrett GTX4294HTA both have antisurge housings but are actually a little quiet probably due to the compressor design, PT6765 are also pretty quiet and the 3794HTA make more power - fwiw. Borg Warner S300SX 91/79 could be fun as well - the Borgs are cheap and pretty tough and rowdy http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=202668 http://www.full-race.com/catalog/product_i...666ef2968f3d4b1
  21. Better match for the 3litre than what options? I'm not solid on the HKS equivalents for those power levels these days, reckon there are lots of good units out there. One of the cooler new beasties to hit the market I reckon is the Forced Performance GT3794HTA... though if you want something physically big and aren't shy to pay the bling (as buying the HKS T51R would imply) I'd really look at the new Garrett GTX4294Rs. How awesome would that be?
