  1. Gearbox? You must have had a big tree. Merry Christmas all and enjoy the New Year, take care and be good!! Here's to a great 09.
  2. Look under the rear end and see if there is a unit bolted to the back of the diff that has tie-rods that link to the back of each of the wheel hubs. It will have a wiring connector and almost looks like a little steering rack, which it is... Should be easy to see and from what I know only the R series had Hicas, but perhaps pw350gt is correct as that sounds feasible.
  3. Cool, I can't wait... Merry Christmas everyone.
  4. sorry man, i forgot...
  5. Just being tongue in cheek and no I don't have you confused with someone else. Was just being silly and yes sometimes I am rarely agreed with...
  6. Agree with me...? I am amazed that would happen. Cheers.
  7. That looks quite nice, but the link didn't work. Where did you find it? I will look it up if you can help with a link or more details. Cheers
  8. I like them a lot... looks good. As for changing the colour, leave the centre as is and get the rim polished and then get them all clear coated. You might go for a gunmetal perhaps, but i don't think you need to...
  9. Yep, Nissan in the Sleepy Hollow... Ask for the Nissan Service Manager as he has Nissan Oil in his veins and they already look after 3 or 4 V35's. They will be definately be able to help with most things especially general Servicing. Give him a call and have a chat, mention me and it will not do any harm, I have known them for years...
  10. I know somewhere that can help, but you need to go a bit more Westerly...
  11. I wish I was joking, but alas I am not... the roads are truly awful... Unless you have an x5 or something similar, an 18 with a 40 is the most I would even look at... as for my 225/40R18 I wanted to go back to 17's Sidewall is good... unless on the track... then check out a track car and you mght be surprised.
  12. 35 series? In my opinion, I don't care about that small strip of rubber... I have 40's at the moment and I will never go less than that. I'd love 19's or more, but I don't want to drive like a drunk grandma (slow and weaving all over the place) The roads where I am are absolutely awful, worse that any I have ever found in Melbourne or the suburbs of. Also worse than I saw in Sydney a few years ago. I can handle rough roads, but not potholes you coule hide in...
  13. I think the Nissan re-flash was covered earlier and from memory the system is quite different and would not work. Perhaps the New GTR system will be the same and it will be offered as an Aussie system, but that will probably not happen if Nissan Oz have anything to do with it.
  14. wish you could have taught me...
  15. Good work, looks nice and I hope you don't forget to switch the tyres with the Camber your running... some people forget unfortunately wasting tyres early in the piece.
  16. Now... that is funny! I'm so happy that what we had is over and that you were able to fix your car, because that is all that this forum is for.
  17. Thanks Andy, much appreciated. I remember that thread now... doh. Cheers
  18. Induction noise, yummmm Just turn the stereo up if it bothers you....
  19. So is this issue now fixed? Did you get the right answer? and no, comments or name calling does not scar me...
  20. That'll be a good start and I would think you might be able to find the limit on a Dyno, so no need to be scared. Even 4th should hit it... You can also have a firm base to continue from.
  21. how andy, just for info? What works and have you got any pics?
  22. Plastic? Really, that is even easier!! Yep, your probably right with matching colour on 2nd look. I missed the rail... Ooops.. If it is a coupe does the rear pillar get wide at the bottom of the rear quarter, that may be a bit harder but a good shop (as you said) should still have no problems.
  23. If you still have the piece, do not lose it, If it is steel, a good welder can fix and a re-paint is possible although difficult... If it is fibreglass, many people can fix although strength could be a problem... and then it can be painted. If it is Carbon (very doubtful - 1%) it can also be fixed similar to Fibreglass and painted. Anyhow, don't stress it can be done, but I am afraid for it to look right a whole roof might need to be painted, and a good repair person may be needed. Glass is the easiest to get right and a bit quicker.
  24. From that photo it is very difficult to tell what is going on, it looks like it is fibreglass and that is easy to repair normally. However if that is the driver's window and the damage is above it, I thought that would be steel. Can you describe it better, or take a few pictures at better quality?
