  6. Ah well if there is some back story with issues then that's fair enough. It's just a shame that Winton is the only track you can go drifting on in Vic.
  7. If the people / money permits why not some drift only events during the year? Or, eg, at Winton, drifting and circuit racing mixed for a day? Just an idea.
  8. 1989 Nissan Skyline R31 Silhouette Alright so I'm Jesse, apprentice mechanic and this is my first car purchased around March / May 2008. Bought off Ebay, Didn't run and was in QLD. Payed for the car, shipped to Vic for an arm and leg, punched the cat out and then skids I do drive this daily sometimes, but I have 87' Ti as another daily, this car is being built up for drifting and the like. I don't know how it happened, but the cat just got that blocked it clogged the exhaust up, must have been like that for a while. Punched it out, a battery and fuel and the car was perfect. Photo Time QLD: All cleaned up before I took to Vic Roads to get reg: First set of rims, AVS, cant remember the model, 16x7 +25 Random pics at work: Went spoilerless, at the time, didn't like, but I will try again soon: And the NISMO's: Recent pics: Even more recent: Mod's List Black = Done Red = Waiting to be Fitted Engine: - GTS2 Stainless Steel Extractors, brand new re-production item - GReddy Catch Can - Highflow Stainless Steel Muffler Drivetrain: - Exedy Heavy Duty Clutch Suspension: Front: - S13 Cusco Coilovers 8kg + Camber Tops - S13 Hubs - S13 Knuckles - R32 Lower Control Arms Rear: - HR31 Jic Coilovers 8kg Brakes: Front: - S13 SR20DET Calipers - S13 Bendix Generals Pads - S13 RDA Slotted Rotors 280mm X 22mm Rear: - R31 Bendix Generals Pads - R31 RDA Slotted Rotors Exterior: - LED Park Lights - 6,000K HID Headlights - GTS-X Front Lip - GTS2 Grill - GTS2 Rear Spoiler - Rays Engineering NISMO LMGT-2 17x7, Offset: F: +29, R: +39, Full set - BBS ??? 17x7, Offset: ???, Pair Interior: - Alpine Head Unit CDA-9886 - Alpine Type S Front Door / Parcel Shelf Speakers - JL Audio 10'' Sub - Cadence 2-Channel Amp - Custom Short Shifter Future Idea's That Are Held Back By Apprentice Pay - Set of Superlites, 8 spoke, 15x8, +4 front and -4 rear - Build a head, port + polish and big cam - ECU + Tune - Build a inlet manifold, fully cleaned, ditch the coolant lines, larger throttle body - Intake piping with a pod + a CAI setup - Oil Cooler - 2 1/2'' straight exhaust, mandrel bends - Strut brace, F + R swaybars - Dyno to see how much (or little ) power at the wheels - Some flashy gauges to monitor those all important things, oil pressure / temp + water temp - More rims - More cars? 11. Are you saying my car is ''un-proportional''? :) My silo was the first car she ever tried drawing, she does have skills, makes good coin too
  12. Apples and oranges Suspension depends on what the car is used for. There is no right or wrong.

  14. Thanks Bec, one more question to the people, are there plenty of places to fill up 98 near DECA or around Shep?
  15. Is there an entry fee for spectators?
  16. Paid and e-mailed

  18. I'm sorting out my CAMS license right now, is it ok to leave that part blank on the entry form?
  19. Thought I sent you one, my mistake Ash. Strange thing is I have renewed, about 2-3 months ago. Anyway I did e-mail Dave the other day, I'll wait for his reply
  20. Thanks for your help Duncan
  21. Alright well I had a read through the CAMS manual and I answered my question about the seat belt. The stock belt is fine for drifting and motorkhana. But I am confused about the information regarding seats I found. From the manual: EACH AUTOMOBILE IN A CIRCUIT RACE (EXCEPT A SUPERKART) SHALL, OF NECESSITY, IN ADDITION TO THE PROVISIONS OF SCHEDULES A & B, BE FITTED: 7: only with such replacement seat which in closed cars first registered with CAMS after 1 January 1980, and in which the relevant regulations permit the replacement of the driver’s seat: • incorporates a head restraint; • does not incorporate adjustment of the rake of the squab; The ''relevent regulations''? Would that just mean the supp regs of the event I'm entering? I would like to know this as well, seeing as I want to be drifting at Winton.
  22. Asg for prez Bec for vice prez and Ash, can you look into my membership please? I pm'd you the other day
  23. Well were gonna tow the 31 to Deca and Winton
  24. Thanks for that Duncan I will have a read over it.
