  1. i like the back brakes. he could have at least cleaned up the engine, stupid hondas i hate em even more now
  2. hey, i actually gave the subframe about 3 coats of "Stone and chip protector" or some sh!t like that. its real thick paint. i also painted up my engine covers yesterday, i screwed up the middle one so i had strip the paint back and undercoat it again. the weather has been almost perfect for painting, but as always its now gonna rain on the weekend so the engine bay will have to wait..........
  3. sounds like a good idea, but it would be better to get it tuned for the nitrous on a dyno. Itll be a hell of a lot safer. steve
  4. well the top bits of the engine bay are in good condition and arnt deeply scratched etc, the bit im talking about filling in the section under the battery. its badly pitted from the battery acid. Once everything is back together youll never be able to see it so i suppose itll be ok. steve
  5. thanx for the advice! there are a couple of small sections that need some poly filler, although they are spot that youll never see. Im more concerned about getting the sections you can see, in mint condition. steve
  6. if he wants 20s let him have his 20s, who cares what he does

  12. dont forget about the wiring guys. the r33 has a completly diffrant set of wiring, even the battery is in a place!!! steve
  13. hey guys, went down to the local auto pint store to pic up some 2pack primer, and asked the dude about primer putty, to fill in the small gaps etc. he reckons that i shouldnt use it cuase itll end up looking crap. he reccomended i should put a couple of thick coats of the 2 pak primer, with out mixing anythign into it. he said that should fill in small gaps etc. Then i should mix some hardener into the primer and give it a couple more coats. i was wondering, how well will the primer will fill in the gaps? is there such thing as a 2pak primer putty?? on one side, there are tiny little pits in the metal caused by battery acid, if i wanna fill these in, will I have to use normal filler to fill them in? any help would be great thanks steve
  14. no offence to anyone? they should be offended! nismo stickers belong on nissans! not holdens or fords!! you dont see me sticking FPR or HSV badges on my nissan. steve
  15. yeah i wouldnt mind seeing the results either! I think i ay be changing my mind about doing the painting my self. Firstly, doesnt matter how good the paint is, if it aint correctly prepaired the paint will turn out shit. Im worried I might stuff up the preperation, plus its been cold, windy and rainy and my workshop if full of car parts, so i cant put it in there. I dont know what ill do...... that said, here some pics of the front subframe. has about 3 coats of primer filler. I wont be painting it in 2pak, just normal enamel paint. Steve
  16. oohhhh, that IS the engine.........
  17. looking at the pics, i see the starter motor, but not the engine?
  18. i say you get your self one of those 3 cyl turbo engines and soop it up a bit!
  19. im assuming u want to run nitrous?
  20. ok, the engine bay will be high gloss black (2pak), and the engine and all the other components in the bay will be kinda like anodised blue. I figured if i kept the bay black, the engine will stand out more. I dont think ill be hiding the wiring, ill neaten them up though, new black tape etc. Ill see what happens when the time comes. I allready have a hole on the left side, as well as a cold air intake running into it. The windscreen washer bottle is in font of it at the moment, so i can get the car ovr the pits. Once its licenced, ill be moving the bottle into the boot so the pods have a fresh lot of air getting blown in. Ive allready layed (and hidden) the cables from the bay to the boot for the bottle.
  21. yeah this info would be good to know, my bros car is doing the same. im hoping its not a cracked heat or dud head gasket. steve
  22. i also pulled the suspension/steering of the subframe. i figured it would be easier to clean/paint it.
  23. well ive pretty much cleaned the rust etc. picked up some 2 pak undercoat today too. if this weekend is warm enuff she'll be prepd for painting!
  24. grip driving? have u been watching Inital D???
