  4. hi guys, i need to get a timing belt, and am looking at either getting a gates timing belt $166 from repco, or a trust/greddy timing belt from greenline $139. which one is better? im ordring a couple more things from greenline so postage isnt an issue. thanks steve
  5. hey guys, anyone know where i can find some cheap hose fitting etc? i need some for my oil cooler setup, i know go gear sell some, but they arnt cheap so if i can find some a bit cheaper, it would be great. not online though, i wanna go into a store and have a look at them. thanks steve
  6. so what exactly has to be changed? my whole system is out at the moment, so i might as well buy the parts and change everything over, then get it refilled proffesionally. steve
  7. also, my work bench has a thick wooden top, for working on etc (feels nicer) and next to it a have a 20mm thick steel table for hammer the shit outta stuff etc, and its got a vice on it. steve
  8. what about using helium? whould it make your tyres that .00000000000000001 grams lighter?
  9. or you could do what i did and pull the back of the pump off (4 bolts) and slide out the little vane thing inside the pump. and put the cover back on. and block off the inlet on the resouvoiur and the outlet on the pump. then remove ALL of the pipiing associated with the hicas. steve
  10. forgot to mension we laid electrical pipiing, and water pipiing for a tap and sink on the side of the garage (out of sight) and the pipiing allows me to have power sockets all around the garage. i had the fridge sorted way before i had even built the damb thing. the air compressor housing is good idea, mine is in the shed and is loud. might make a sound proof cabinet for it or something. was thinking about a engine hoist but i bought a crane instead. steve steve
  11. this is my garage me and my dad built. the pics shows it with the frame up. its long finished now. We bought the steel tubing all from scrap wreckers. The blue tubes are those real thick ones are used to build playground houses etc and go about a meter under the ground, in solid concrete. The yellow poles are old stop and give way sign poles we bought. the are fully rust proof inside out. The colorbond sheet i got from auction for real cheap. we compacted the ground with a heavey duty compacter and i used a truck load or so of yellow sand. the roladoor i got from the tip, a bit scracthed but a quick paint job made it look like new. the most expensive stuff was the concrete. i needed two truck loads. the f**king thing is hell solid and on a doesnt move or leak. it fits the gtr in and has plenty of space all round. plus a ton of space for my work bench etc. steve
  12. what did you expect it to do for $22? make you coffee?
  13. yeah the engine will bolt directly up. the r32 gtr ecu should also run it. r33 ecu and loom is WAYYYYY differant to the r32 gtr one. e.g the r33 have the battery in the boot! just bolt in the r33 rb26 and use the r32 gtr ecu and loom.
  14. that was pretty good
  15. lol, i was joking about the rb26 thing guys! although i work vtec would go hard. what you want is 1:1 power to weight!!
  16. my dad used to drive a truck for a living, and id go down with him when he got his truck serviced and repaired etc from what i saw those truck mechos charge like you wouldnt beleive! even small jobs cost big bucks. trucks is where the money is at. steve
  17. well, do police carry tint test eqiupment as standard? if it made it over the pits with the tints, then the police were either being assholes, or the truely thought it was too dark. if its legal, then you wont have problems with the pits. steve
  18. hey if you do a search there was a post about this topic. there was even heaps of pics in it etc
  19. oh why not? isnt it the goal of every skyline owner to try to fit an rb26 into every type of vehicle? steve
  20. maturity? as mature as the 70 year old c**t who ran me off the road yesterday arvo and caused me lock up me front wheels, almost f**king them up? He didnt even see what he done! just kept going. I dont care how old he was, if he was standing in front of me i would have broken his hip!! old people should be tested regualry to see if they can: 1: actually see the road and other cars 2: think and react quick enough in an emregency 3: TURN THEIR FREAKING HEADS TO SEE IF THERE IS A CAR NEXT TO THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! steve
  21. hey, i saw this thing on beyond toomorw just the other day and they said youll be able to licence it in oz land sometime in 2006! slap a rb26 in it and see what happens?
  22. cool, let me know how much you want, or if i can even borrow it to get my car over the pits. thanks steve
