  1. Yup we need a picture like that! VERY sweet ride you got there! J
  2. He should just get a Porsche if that's what he wants - I mean I know the RX-7 is a better car and all but that just isn't a nice thing to do to it. *ducks* J
  3. Hi, What's the highest rev limit you've heard of on an RB20DET - and what parts were used to get there? Cheers J
  4. Well so far the votes are 22 to 5 in favour of the GT-R and yet more of the people that posted responses say go the GTS-T . . . hmmm! J
  5. For an R32 - would you take a stock GT-R, or a GTS-t that had enough performance and styling bits thrown at it to make up the price difference? Let's say you were just buying them as is, with no intention of modifying the GTS-t any more, or the GT-R at all. That's about $10000 worth of mods . . . what's your opinion? J
  6. The computer measures the airflow at the beginning of the intake tract (assuming you're using a MAF system) and injects fuel accordingly. So when you shift and let off the gas, your turbo is still spinning and the excess air is vented through the blow-off valve. However the computer doesn't know that that air isn't going into the combustion chamber, so while the blow-off valve is going the mixture in the combustion chamber is very rich, thus letting a lot of unburned fuel into the exhaust, where it gets ignited by the hot turbine wheel. Hence flames on shifting. J
  7. . . . of the Top Secret HCR32 project car? J
  8. Those quote tags don't quite do what you expect do they . . . J
  9. Black will actually improve heat transfer; this is the same reason that solar panels are always black. You should be able to use black radiator paint which is designed to cover with a very thin coat. J
  10. The only way I've heard of to get a 2.4 is to use the Jun (?) stroker crank. If this works would be very interesting, keep us updated. J
  11. Basically a Celica, nice little car but no supercar! J
  12. Well technically, what happens is the nitrous oxide breaks up under the heat and pressure into nitrogen and oxygen, hence the oxygen; and the cooling is a welcome side effect. Also unless you are using a "dry" system (shudders) the nitrous system will add enough fuel so that you don't run lean. I don't use it BTW, I just don't despise it like a lot of people seem to. Cheers J
  13. Exactly why the disrespect for NOS users? It's a power adder, functions by stuffing more oxygen and fuel into the chambers, just like a turbo. It has to be set up right, just like a turbo. If you use enough of it you have to build your engine specifically for it - just like a turbo. Maybe you need some Cheers J
  14. That can't be US, North America doesn't get the hatchback Echos, only coupes and sedans. J
  15. Well that is called the Infiniti G35 coupe in North America, and I think it looks fabulous; Road & Track magazine tested one and they figure it is a better drive than the 350Z, which is saying something. The GT-R will be a separate model anyway, and that will get afterburners, no question. I'm just waiting for someone to make aftermarket afterburners for the G35. The stock taillights have a hint of them in that there are round lights behind the lenses. Jason
  16. Very nice meggala. Has it been converted to manual already? What engine? Cheers Jason
  17. That is very very nice. Dang, I still gotta wait two years for mine.
  18. One of these days. Yes, one of these days I will be that good . . . yeah right . . .
