How about if you want 4 doors, and performance potential... get a R32 GTS-4 4door? I did and damn glad I did now. Easy as swap to RB26DETT... possibly one day Or look at a R33 series 2 4door, i like those. The R32 is such a smaller car compared to the R33 tho.

Looks like a 910 bluebird with a J30 maxima front... could also be a Y30 gloria wagon with the maxima front...

Why don't you swap engines and see how you go.. the skyline will still lose to the much lighter bluebird

does it have an aftermarket steering wheel?

That FJ20 bluey was probly sub 1200kgs and making around the same HP as your skyline... get a bigger turbo and lose some of the skylines lard and you'll keep up if not beat him not sure why you have all those mods with the standard turbs to be honest

Thanks I have a GTR drivers seat, but a standard GTS-t passenger seat, so i will also consider swapping either for the matching seat for my R32.

If anyone is interested in JUST the drivers seat, I will take the passenger seat.... Unless you are willing to split?

I have a spare set i may be willing to sell.... Not sure what I am doing yet, I may be wrecking one of my HR31's in which case I'll have 2 spare sets. I only want to keep 1 spare set. No centre garnish with these, but might be able to find a badly cracked/broken one if I haven't chucked it out already.

I'm getting some work done on my R32 at JDS Auto Imports. They are sourcing seat belts for my car so it will pass a roadworthy and transport inpsection. Good guys to talk to if your importing a vehicle yourself and need some work to get it one the road...

Hoping to buy some 2nd hand ones off someone on these forums, but even someone to contact who might be able to make some up for me... Any suggestions would be better than nothing. Thanks Paul

Well, apparently 2 weeks ago we didn't even have to do seat belts either, but now we do Slowly they are bringing us into line with Victoria, so next is intrusion bars etc... I want to get it on the road before i have to do more crap to it!! Anyhow, some contacts for possible seat belt purchase would be good, i'd rather have it done properly rather than doing a dodgy and swapping back to the jap ones... however either or is fine with me in the end, i just want to get it regged

I have just personally imported the above vehicle. I live in Tassie so generally there isn't many options when it comes to people that deal with imports so I'm going to ask some questions here. According to Transport Tas, the only major modification I need to do is australian compliant seatbelts in the vehicle (as well as some other minor stuff...). This is easy I can do this myself. My question is, does anyone know where I can source seatbelts to fit this vehicle? or is it possible to source them from another model car and fit them into the R32? I haven't taken a good look at the seatbelts yet, but I have a HR31 I may be wrecking I was hoping the seatbelts may be able to swap over... Cheers Paul

Hi I am in Hobart, after some bolt on spacers for my R32 turbo. I only need a pair for the front and they need to be around 20mm i think, will check that properly. No one here in Hobart is interested in helping me Cheers Paul

You don't need to get "compliance" on ANY 15yo vehicle, you only need a road worthy and your import documents. If you run into service tas about 4:55pm on a friday arvo I reckon you'd even be able to just reg it from your import docs Haven't tried that yet however...

Don't know if I can help, but I have an R32 due in the country in a few weeks... Unfortunately its fairly stock standard from the outside Not to mention 2 R31 Passages also stock standard tho I live in Hobart but travel between Lonny and Hobart every week.
