We didn't use the hoist.

the chassis stands are to get the car in the air. That or use wheel ramps. Either way get the car as high in the air as you can. Once you have it up in the air, you use two jacks with wheels. Not your 'I'm stuck on the side of the road, can you help me Mr roadside assist man' screw jack. Lift the gearbox up, and roll towards the engine.

Also look at Lucas pads, for a cheap yet good quality pad. They are very dusty though.

2 guys. Box and clutch out, new clutch and box in, and running in less that 4 hours. Nothing more than a set of chassis stands, and two hydraulic jacks. You will need a 1 meter extention for your socket. GTR btw.

He is forgetful, and changes his mind every time he looks at your car. He's also in Glen Waverley, and will come to you. I don't have his details though. Will charge $500 for an engineers cert. Inc. chassis and structural inspection. And braking distance and fade test.

My suggestion is that it is better to get out on the track and learn what your car can do with road tyres, before getting semi comps. They have a very different feel to roadies. They grip differently too. A few guys have found them self in some expensive trouble by running semi comps on their first track outings. A bent car is not a nice car. Also, the club has the CAMS manual, so you will not need to buy it.
