  3. sorry to bring up an old thread. I understand the ecu chip is a hitachi 64F7055F40 but this chip come in many variants does the chip have any sub letters or numbers printed on it starting with SH or the like. just putting this here incase someone happens to have an already open ecu and can take a squiz for me pissing down and dark outside so cant get to it myself atm. im going to take a squiz at this process see if it leads anywhere as there is alot of code involved have to get my head around HEX and main thing being to identify checksums. not looking at flashing or canbus hacking just curious to see whats in there and how it works. EDIT: Got a bit ahead of myself in posting above statement the hitachi chip is part of the SH7055 family and only has support for bosch CAN 2.0 version. no response required

  5. Although i am interested in the different options available this constant backward and forwards nonsense is making this thread hard to digest. Put the figures up without the small talk would be muchly appreciated

  14. From memory the plug has about 6-7 cables running to it from the loom only 3 operate the steering wheel controls or are needed ? I could be wrong in saying this but most cars from base model to top of range have same looms and plugs in place it just a matter of weather they utilise them for that model
  15. Yes steering wheel control plug . Previous owner of my stag had it all working to a degree i replaced headunit and have since lost all controls
  16. trying to find the math on flow through certain sized pipes cant seem to find anything specific to idea. in the instance of a 3" pipe could you heat and flatten pipe to make it fit in tight spaces. would it still have same flow and still have same volume ? edit just found this http://www.partsshopmax.com/page.php?44 and this http://www.stainlessheaders.com/oval_exhaust_tubing
  17. Excuse my ignorance and lack of knowledge. Would that mean running out of high end puff but having everything down low? I only ask as ive asked a highflow service provider if i can get bucket of low down torque and power to suit my driving style in tight and twisty roads not interested in long straights and high kw. And well said service provider sent me to a factory replacement turbo running same boost and comes on at around same time... sorry for long winded question hope you can pick it out i think ive even lost it in there somewhere
  18. Second vid sounds like a commodore first up then ends with a spool down like you would hear on a td42. Very strange
  19. Replaced squeaky brake pads with unknown branded ones that where taken off in compliance. Much better brake feel now. Rotated wheels, wasnt going to but found lhr was scrubbed out on inside edge. Discovered my full 3" exhaust is not. I have aftermarket dump into factory front pipe then into 3" fujitsubo exhaust. And finally i gave her a good wash
  20. Sorry my bad. You want to go from the cable that goes into that plug to the 3.5 ? If so im sure there would be a male to female adapter for just the din plug
  21. If you want to plug into the plug marked in red square you need a male plug not female
  22. Circle din plug can get them in male and female that is a male one
