    Nismo Festival 2005

  3. Which Short Shift kit did you buy?? Because the length of the shifter isnt any different, it's the throw and the distance between gears that changes when you fit it. The Nismo ones even look like standard Nissan ones. Either way, it should have come in a Nismo or C's Box (Depending on which one you bought) so if it was out of the box I'd be questioning if it's even a new shifter. I suggest you fit it and see if there is any difference in the throw. If it's still the same length throw then you've been supplied a 2nd hand std shifter and I'd be going to the ACCC to find out if there is any recourse for you. Don't let this go mate. You payed for the product and he has an obligatino to supply it to you.
  4. http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page.cfm?u=5549 You should probably be very familiar with that too
  5. http://www.customs.gov.au/webdata/resource...ort_export1.pdf That document is very useful and also states the 5 Year Audit Rule
  6. Yes, There is laws and info for this. http://www.customs.gov.au/ AT THIS STAGE I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT THIS IS NOT DIRECTLY CONCERNED WITH NENGUN PERFORMANCE ONLY. THESE POSTS ARE INTENDED TO INFORM YOU CONSUMERS OF THE LAWS AND ALSO INTERNET SUPPLIERS OBLIGATIONS TO YOU. BY INTERNET SUPPLIER I MEAN ANY BUSINESS WHO TAKES ORDERS AND PAYMENT OVER THE INTERNET AND SHIPS THE GOODS DIRECTLY TO YOU FROM OVERSEAS. I hope this clears up a lot of grey areas for people buying parts of internet suppliers.
  7. I wouldn't breathe too easy just yet either. Customs have 5 YEARS to back date records and request payment for goods imported. Which means that anytime in the next 5 years you may recieve a notice for payment which you will not be able to avoid or contest. And rest assured Customs HAVE been known to chase duties owing years down the track.
  8. This kind of Internet business is fine. The problem arises when terms (including customs duty and taxes) are NOT CLEARLY specified on the suppliers web page and the supplier has made efforts to avoid taxes such as marking items as samples/gifts etc... You are the one taking the chance with customs. If they don't check it, good for you, if they do, pay up. But you as the consumer need to be aware of this when you purchase the goods and you also need to be informed of the cost of the duty/tax incurred before you make the purchase. If you are not informed, the supplier is liable.
  9. Any rebuilt engine should have a new oil and water pump. N1's are $590 for the Oil Pump and $350 for the Water Pump from Nissan.
  10. I would put 235's on there if it were me
  11. Mate, time to face reality. You own a Skyline GTR. You've blown the engine. $4000 seems quite reasonable to me. You have to factor in almost 30 hours worth of labour to fix the problem as the engine will need to be removed, stripped, reconditioned then put back together with new parts to raplace what needs replacing. You can get bearings from Nissan. Also I am a little concerned as to why you believe you've spun a rod bearing. Anyone who knows enough about cars and engines to diagnose an engine bearing problem should know what it takes to rebuild the engine and the subsequent cost involved. Have you taken the car to a mechanic yet to have the problem diagnosed properly?

Duncan: GOLD...... just GOLD. Kel: Did you not see my number in your missed calls list? Shell: ahhh I see fair enough then..... It would have been quite early sorry. I was in Goulburn for a trackday. Didn't make it to Canberra.
  13. Basically what Wink said is correct. Save your money and get a standard valve to put back on the car and the spend the left over cash elsewhere
  14. 235 would be the preferred tyre size for an 8"rim but if you can fit a 245 on there without issues then the choice is really up to you. If you are fitting the 8" rim to the front of your car then put the 235 on there.
  15. They are R33 GTR Wheels
  16. You will be able to fit 19" rims onto your R32 GTR however depending on the width you wish to run, your guards may need to be rolled to accomodate the tyres. Also having coil over suspension with height adjustability (what coil overs don't these days?) would be very handy for fitting.
  17. Hey Gareth, I can send the items down to you if you like but it would probably be cheaper for you to buy the parts from a Nissan Dealer in Adelaide when you factor in the freight from Sydney to Adelaide. Hope the car is going well for you Cheers,
  18. I would reccomend putting Platinum Spark Plugs in your Car. NGK PFR6A-11's would be a good idea. Gap them to 0.9mm for a bit of longevity
