  1. im interisted in your short shifter and im im melbourne, what suburb you in and do you have a pic of it?
  2. manual is easy just a few things you should know: 1 when you stop put the clutch in or car will stall, easy to forget when your under preasure 2 if you dont know what the clutching point is its very usefull. release clutch and use acelerator to hold car in one place without the need of a brake (usefull on hills so you can go without any rollback). 3 when changing gears press the clutch 4 you can slow your car down by gearing to a lowwer gear while in combination with your bakes 5 listen to your car, its engine noise will tell you when to change gears (that or be lazy and look the the taco) 6 dont change gears mid corner, be in the right gear before you get to the corner think thats about it, just take it slow. it isnt that hard
  3. ok im looking to put 10" subs in my boot running off an amp. if i had 800-1000watt subs what kind of power would i need from the amp to produce a good solid sound. been looking at amps that have 2 by 200wat rms, is this too much or about right? also still deciding on what brand/model components to buy. i have a budjet of about $700 for the subs and amp can anyone recomend some equipment that i could get within my budget that will sound good. atm i just have a jvc head unit (4 by 50wat mosfet) running some clarion 6' splits in the front and 6' 2 ways in the back. ps i know i should get an amp for the splits and 2 ways but thats all to come later on unless someone can recomend an amp that will run 2 subs splits and 2 ways all within my budget including speakers (doubt it). looking forward to the advice Jason
  4. turns out firend didnt end up wanting the seats. anyhow im after the trim in the boot, prety much the whole left side running up to the back of the seat and half of the trim on the right side (the part that covers the suspension tower). if you still have this how much you want and could you get a pic of it. also i need a stock air box, cannot remeber if you had a pod or not. if you got this a price would also be nice thanks Jason

  7. my car has the set up your after. was done by previous owner so not sure if latch is gtr one ot gts-t. the way the grille is attached on mine is good old zip ties, holds tight and hasnt fallen off at very high speeds so im sure it will suffice (and its cheap). some pics to help you http://members.optusnet.com.au/linxus40/grille1.jpg http://members.optusnet.com.au/linxus40/grille2.jpg http://members.optusnet.com.au/linxus40/latch.jpg pm me if you want any more pics from different angles
  8. nevermind managed to fidn a place on warrigal rd that will replace the bottle and the seals and regas for $160. not bad at all so im booked in for next wednesday
  9. I imported my car before you could get them im withiout having the air con gas removed so atm my system has no gas in it and the little bottle is sitting in my back seat. Ive heard that you need to replace all the seals on the system as the R134A gas that they use these day will eat through the seals on the system set up for the old 12A gas. Firstly is this correct? Secondly if it is how much am i looking at and can anyone recomend a place from the southland area that will do it and not cost me an arm and a leg. Thanks Jason

  14. when i needed pannel beating done on my car I found a guy on cochranes road just opposite philip morris (atkins smash repair or something, guys name is Michael). He managed to give me my best quote first time and he acually lifted my car up on the hoist to have a look at what needed to be done. Was some under body work and everyone else just put there head under said some crap about being an expesive job then quoted me a huge number). That guy was straight up Highly Recomended
  15. with the short shifters is the gear nob part removeable because i have a razzo gear nob that i would prefert to attach to the top as opposed to the silver bulb that it has in the pics. so it it possible to unscrew the silver one and is there a standard thread to put my old one onto?
  16. i need one for a r32 gts-t, put me down, im in melbourne need shipping too
  17. went on a mini cruise with two 180's a silvia and me in my skyline. found some twisty bits and really had a chance to open her up. now my brakes squeel more than even and i still have a ton of pad on them.
  18. allready posted this elsewhere but why not post again 3" exhaust pod filter 13psi t3/t4 external wastegate turbo rebic with 2 extra injectors set to minimal settings stock everything else
  19. i just heard on the radio today and tomorow in melbourne there is going to be a holden v's ford expo with dyno shoot outs in jeffs shed. maybe you gould go there if your in melb or get someone to go if your not
  20. my 32 came with tein height adjustables with blisten shocks, also has a strut brace on the front of it. havent had any track work with it but a bit of late nite rally work in the hills. ride is a bit more bumpy than some of the other skylines i have riden in/driven but the handeling is second to none. point your car any direction and gas it and it sticks to the road like it has claws
  21. well car was run in melb on wed at about 6:30ish in the afternoon, was probably about 20 degrees at that time. unsure why it says power fc check cos ive had alook myself and it definately looks stock compared to pics ive seen of otherstock ones. that and the guys saying if i wanted any more power id need injectors, fmic and some engine management (ie power fc)
  22. rb20det is the engine not sure on turbo been told t3/t4 by a friend who seemed to know. all i know is it kicks hard and its got an external wastegate.
