  2. i have a hybrid electronic boost controller, they sell for like $300ish and are piss easy to install. have a high boost, low boost and over boost function(%10 more boost when activated) does the job nicely
  3. only 1 place does compliance atm and its in queensland. so as d0p3y said it is best to get a bog stock one. i talked to the guys that do the compliance and they wont do it unless its totally stock (even rims). so less your in quensland doing a switch is kinda imposible.

    there is finally a workshop that can comply the 91-97 toyota aristos. looks like it is time to sell the gts-t and upgrade to pimp style with 2jz-gte power will be one of the first in the state and will look like this one http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/index.php?ID=6840 probably stock but the same colour. just got the personalied numberplate to go with it "jzs147" which is the chassy number so will be worth a mint when these bad boys take off. loved the skyline but time for more room and more power! keep an eye out for me in about 2-3months woo

  6. car has used a ton of fuel ever since i have owned it. tried everything including clean acc valve, clean afm, change o2 sensor and even driving like a grandma which is no fun. recently my car had a engine problem and seemed like it ws loseing water so i droped it into ice to let them have a look. engine problem was 2 dead coil packs and water was cos i had no coolant left and the water was boiling away. while the car was there they notice that my stock bov had a leak in the hose so the fixed that up and added all new spark plugs. OMG i think the bov leak was the culprit. i used to get like 280-300 k's to a tank driving like a grandma and it always ued to idle at like 1200rpm. now im getting 400k's to a tank and a 800-1000rmp idle. if you are suffering from poor fueld consuption i recomend you look at your bov and the piping connected to it cos this litle fix is going to save me like $20 a week in fuel. woo that is all

A little background information. r32 gts-t with ebc, fmic, full 3" exhaust and a turbo that hits full boost at 5000-5500rmp(laggy as hell). wanted more power so was loking at a second hand power fc but a new one tuned is like $2000. now it seems im loseing water and oil so i think my engine is about had it. ok. with all the above factors i mind im considdering a rb25det conversion since i should be able to keep fmic and the turbo should work a lot better on the biger engine. how much would i be looking at for a full install at a good mechaninc (engine sourced and installed)? what places do you guys recomend in the cheltenham area that wouldnt take more than than a month to do it? (ice always seems to be closed). any other insight from peope who have done this or at least researched it would be appreceated
  8. for gps software for pda's i prefer tomtom. easy to find latest version on torrentspy. download speed camera locations from net and have it warn you when approaching with spoken and visual warnings. something destinator 3 and pn as well as smart st v2 are incapeable of. works great with map of australia on a 206mhz pda

  10. ok this is what i read on how to test the 02 sensor. on the sensor there are 3 wires, the center one is the one that talks to the ecu the other 2 are just to help heat it up faster. warm the car up with a 10-15min drive then while the car is still hot idle the car at about 2000rmp and put the multimeter on the center wire testing for volts. if it is working correctly it should jump between .3 and .7 volts. it jumps about as the car runs ritch then lean so dont expect a stable reading. it may go higer and lowwer by a bit but around that reading its doing its job. oh yeah use a digital multimeter for best results. too easy.

  12. i purchased an el 02 sensor thinking this was the right one for the rb20det but after further research i belive this is only good for the r33's. i went to repco and they dont know the part number for any replacement so i need help with a part number of any brand of sensor that would be suitable and not cost an arm and a leg. thanks
  13. anyone know the code for the repco oem for the rb20det. also does it have the correct harnes to clip straight in. got an el one atm but i dont think its doing what its supposed to. still only getting like 300-320 k's per tank.
  14. i was going side by side with a big 4wd into a round about on a wet night. my car handels a lot better than his but being smart i slow to a reasonable speed. he on the other hand decides to boot it for a bit of a show off. he managed to do a 540 in front of me without hitting anything(including me which i am thankfull for). man there are stupid dirvers everywhere
  15. yo, my car is a r32 gts-t with a gtr bar on it. it looks hot much better than the atock one. you will need a gtr reinforcement bar for it to attack but the advantage of the reinforcement is there perfect for attaching fmic's to. oh yeah it fits like 95% perfect, only drawback is the side guards on the gts-t dont line up exactly (see pic in link to see what i mean). part from that its all good. http://members.optusnet.com.au/linxus40/side1-s.jpg
  16. dont see the fuss with a space saver. if you cannot go easy with your ride for a few kays till you get home then i think you need to asses your driving attitude. (this isnt directed at any one person)

  18. hi im after the speedo drive from the gearbox. its the small pump like looking thing on the right when looking down on it. how much for that? i can pick up straight away
  19. after a completely underwhelming responce in general matinance ill try my question here in the hope i get at leat 1 helpfull reply seems my speedo has decided to stop operating. it has happened before and playing with the worm drive gear in the gear box got it back into action. that dosent seem to be helping this time so i need some help. does anyone know of a way to repair the drive gear or is time to replace it? if so i know the worm drive gear is a hard unit to source by itself so should i replace the whole box since its crunching into 4th anyway (how much would it cost and is it very hard to do). or should i upgrade to a r33 box since my car puts out 200rwkw, if i do this how hard is it to get the electric sensor in the 33 to work on the mechanical sensor on the 32 clustor. any help would be much apreciated.

  21. rego is $540. stamp duty is 4% of what is listed as the value of the car on the change of ownership form. bov wont pass rwc and turbo timer will also fail ifthey find it.

  23. ive had a few people say it looks like a t03 or a t04 but it has no visable markings that would make it identifyable.
  24. ok a quick list of mods first 3" full exhaust including dump, 15psi, hybrid ebc, fmic, turbo was on car when imported but it looks big and has an external wastegate, rebic computer controlling 2 extra injectors in the manifold, remaped ecu with the car dynoed at 196rwkw before fmic as installed. if not the ecu what would be the best option without spending an arm and a leg for faster spool up. ps i dont want to change the turbo.
