right now my car hits full boost at about 5.5K which is very annoying on a rb20, this is using a retuned stock ecu. would it be possible to make it boost faster by changing the maps with a pfc. if so how much quicker is posible? 4K 3K....

this is my impression im sure other will correct me if im wrong. a small turbo will hit boots at low rpm but the boost trails off and becomes lower at higher rpm. so at 2k you might be at 14 psi but at 6k it might have fallen to about 10ish. a larger turbo will hold the psi for much longer.

The hardest part of the install on one of those china kits like you have on a 32 is the pipe that goes over the fan and through the wall under the battery. Here are a few picks that might clear things up, remeber to use a piece of metal on the flange going from the pipe to connect it to the block and not try trimming the fan cos its not needed. how bout you buy one of those magnet on a stick things or tie a magnet on some fishing wire and go fishing (prolly worth going the double knot on the secon option).

do you have the speedo worm drive of the gearbox, if so how much?

if you still have the 32 box will you seperate the speedo worm drive, if so how much?

rpm will move because power steering uses engine power to operate, more drain on power rpm will lift to compensate. yor initial prolbem sounds like your bov, remove it and see if the problem persists

A friend of mine removed his front reinforcement bar(on a 180) which is very similar to what you are proposing. On a crash of about 30-40kph he lost he FMIC, radiator, fan and a few other fun yet expensive bits. How bout looking at a GTR reinforcement bar, my 32 had a gtr bar and was set up perfectly for what you are trying to do. Worth a thought.

When my car was delivered to my door it had so little fuel it ran out after ideling for 3 min. Got the jerry can (5 litre one) went to petrol station,got fule and filled car. Car wouldnt start at all, turned out 5 litres isnt enough, so added another 5 and started straight away. Might be your problem, try putting some more fuel in.

Hey guys My car has always used 13-13.5 litres of fule per 100K's in city driving. It is frustrating because it dosent matter if i drive like a granny or give it a bit of stik i get the same consumption. This hasnt really bothered me much untill now as the price of fule means $20 is like 120-130K's. The wierd thing is i just got back from a 400km round trip and i was amazed to see my consumption on the highway was like 10-10.5 litres per 100K's. Could it be that my car is running to ritch that is why with lots of stop start driving i get shoddy consumption? Oh yeah car specs is 3" exhaust, fmic, bigger turbo, 1 bar boost(not that boost maters much sice granny driving has no effect) pod, remaped computer, z32 afm, ebc. Any insight or suggestions on how to bring city driving consumption down or if this is usual behaviour. Thanks

Have four Bridgestone Potenza Re-01's to sell. Fit 16" wheels, fronts are 205/50 and backs are 225/50. Have tread wear on all tyres on inside, fronts worse then backs. thanks for all the replys guys, had a good look under the car today with it on axle stands and found that the bolt holding the muffler mounting point to the car was missing. added a bolt to mount the muffle to the car and now my exhause sits about 110-115mm, plenty of room to pass vicroads. man glad that saved me a lot of cash thanks again

well i also got defected for bald tyres, the inner 5-10mm had no tread on 3 of em. they go in on wednesday and i got till fri to get it sorted so will go to exhaust shop after new tyres if im still too low.

well i got defected for being too low and i dont want to go out and get new suspension so asking for options. min legal height is 100mm measured my car and its prolly 95mm at its lowest. both places are my exhaust 2 points that are definately too low are the rear muffler - about 4-5mm there and about 10-15cm before the cat - bout 5mm again. i dont want to get bigger wheels, ive taken my sub out to make the back sit higher and ill go get tested with very little fule to lift it more. if i take it to an exhaust shop is there much they can do ot lift the exhaust. if i do this how much would i expect to pay what else is my options?

atm my car r32gts-t with rb20det, full exhaust, z32afm, mooded fule system, remaped ecu, bigger turbo, pod and running 14psi of boost makes 196rwkw. ill soon be installing a fmic and dual stage ebc and probably a cold air partiton while im cuting and making things for my car. just after estimats on how mch power you guys thing it will produce after the mods? any estimates/adivce is welcome. thanks
