  1. then why does it come good after a ecu reset? I did not know stock ecu's clean the afm's when they have been reset.
  2. this dyno also has the nickname "heart breaker", i have seen 30kw differences between this dyno and others
  3. Yes. There are a couple of tuners on here including myself who have setup the vct on rb25's with the V44 ecu so you should have no issues with setup. Ray Hall will load a map into the ecu with VCT already setup for you if you ask him, if not i can email you one. You won't regret getting the V44, its a great ecu!
  4. I would like the drums back please
  5. yeah. don't you have a mate who would pay $50 for it ? who races motorbikes?
  6. YES. Having forged pistons and noisy engine will cause the ECU to revert back to the low octane low timing map and you will lose power because it thinks the engine is pinging. There is away to disconnect your knock sensors and run a resistor on the line to trick the ecu into thinking there is no knock if you want to do it that way. Search the forum, a mate of mine has got 280 - 300rwkw out of his stock ecu by tricking R&R and by disabling the stock knock sensors. his username is *RB2530* or something like that. Do a search. let me know if you cannot find it.
  7. you will need to call the adaptronic dealer in aus to get this info, we don't use adaptronics in Skylines very much. remember that the r33 vct is different to the VVT on other cars. You have to set it up to be off from 0 - 1200rpm, then switch it on at 1200rpm and turn it back off again where the car likes it the most, usually around 4700rpmish. You should try and sell the ecu and buy a Vi-Pec V44 plug in, that would be your best bet.
  8. anyone got any updates?
  9. yes we did think about this, however it was not possible to do because we were running out of time and it was 10pm at night by the time we hit the power brick wall and running the car with no exhaust would have been bad. very nice car bakes.
  10. no. i plumbed the screamer back into exhaust and retuned it on 24psi to 360rwkw, then i put the screamer back on after the tune when i went to the track. not sure if i gained the 15kw back or not but it felt pretty strong. might screw the boost back up to 30psi before going back but i have a few other changes that need to be done, flat shift to be configured and put a BOV on the intake side near throttle body. I got one of those massive trust ones that looks like a wastegate with a trumpet lol
  11. you can put it there, i would suggest upgrading the oil cooler and moving it somewhere else if your looking to get more power. this is the auto tranny cooler yes?
  12. I hear he does great hair cuts! You are a generous man!
  13. so that means that if I jumped into your car, i could do the quarter in 7.7 peru seconds?
  14. a very learnered man told me a few weeks ago on his trip from QLD that RB30's don't smash oil pump's because the crank's are really heavy. unless you live on the limiter that is. So i don't think it matter what pump you have
  15. also keep it off the concrete. put wood under the drums
  16. by the time i drive slowly back down to get my time slip it usually drops back down to about 97 94 deg. try some decent coolant and replace the thermostat with a nismo one. that will fix her
  17. Please change my username to Guilt T-ripper for 7 days too =)
  18. of course i have. i do lots of logging. it has got up to 102deg at a end of a run once. usually around 97 - 99deg depending on how big the burnout was and how hot the car was before the run. I would check to make sure the fan is spinning the right way. any chance of testing a proper clutch fan? they work the best
  19. i used to use 265's on a 8" wheel. worked a treat
  20. 86 should be about normal. What clutch fan are you using? or what fan system? what thermostat? have you replaced it? cheers
  21. get a second opinion... what i am trying to say is try another gauge!
  22. Its such a shame we will have to wait before we see this car in action again. Santa Clause may bring twoogle back out apparently
  23. NASA? lol he only has one switch on the steering wheel. its not rocket science. Mark set it up to be as simple as possible. he needs to work on the clutch when taking off he was saying.
