  1. Picked up a set of cams for my R32 GTR, and am not sure if they are Tomei Japan or Tomei USA, does anyone know how to identify ? There is no marking of where they are made. Cheers
  2. When i went there in dec 2019 i stayed in Guram's spare unit he had at the time in Vake, great spot in the city there! I let fireworks off the balcony for NYE on 13th floor haha
  3. Hey guys, Just wondering what price are you paying at the pump for United e85 at the moment? So bit of a price check, just let us know your location and how much it costs. Newcastle NSW - $2.19
  4. Hey mate! Yes I agree it is great, especially when you know alot of people there, did you ever go to Mclarens Irish pub there? I spent lots of time there it is great. I love Tbilisi in the winter, its just amazing when it snows. I picked up the car yesterday and it is now sitting in my workshop, I have not been able to raise a spanner to it because I just keep pacing around it in disbelief that it is actually here in my workshop.
  5. it was SAU's fault, when I was posting flat out here tuning skylines a guy called Guricha got me to remote tune his cars in Georgia and it all just took off from there. Yes she looks really nice, it needs some work like a engine strip down and check and running gear etc but that should not be too hard.
  6. Hey guys, I been up to the usual Guilt-Toy stuff again, for the last 8 years I been tuning back home in Newcastle, but it was time for another mission. So back to Georgia I go, when i was there in 2019 there was a R32 GTR at Guricha's place and it was in a pretty sorry state, 18 months later I made a offer on it and the owner accepted. This car is known to me, in 2010 Dato who imported the car to Georgia from Japan brought this car to us and we put it on the dyno for a health check and it spun a bearing. After a lot of advice the car was built and I tuned it before I left in late 2010 before I went to the UAE. The car sat at Guricha's place since around 2015, and it was rotting away, so I was able to snap it up for a half decent price. I flew to Georgia 2 months ago to get everything ready and put the car in a shipping container and send it back home, so here we go again! This is my 1993 R32 GTR, so stoked I have been able to snap one up, and more stoked that it was the GTR I loved so much back in the day. So why not get the car restored to its former glory while im there? The car was sent to a new Paint shop there, and they done a really good job, full respray including engine bay. Now I am sitting at Hard Rock cafe at Dubai air port, having a few JD's about ready to board my plane to go back home, what a mission this was, but I would not have it any other way. I am pretty sure I will just keep this as a street GTR without too much power, I still got the series 2 R33 RB30 GTS4 so this one will be a mild car, I decided not to touch the motor in Tbilisi Georgia, I will do everything back at home. Cheers SAU, appreciate the sticky on my posts and will keep you all updated on when the car arrives like the previous times
  7. stock earth wires? where are the pumps wired to on power side? whats the earths like on the pump?
  8. Basically a mines ECU is a stock ecu remapped to suit the car it was intended for that they built in Japan for their fuel. I am able to modify the eprom on the mines ecu and custom tune it on the Dyno to suit your application for Australian Fuel or the car you put the ECU in. I can only do the r32 gtr and GTST & Z32 ecu with the hardware I invested in, to do the R33 RB25 it would have cost me more money then it is worth and you should contact TOSHI to retune it for you. At the end of the day if you have imported a Skyline from Japan with a mines ECU then it would probably be OK because the knock sensor strategy on the ecu SHOULD keep the motor alive with the different octane however performance will be compromised, however if you have installed a mines ECU into your car to gain performance then it is only going to end up in tears or you are so lucky you probably should have bought a lottery ticket. Think about it like this, you buy a Haltech from a 9 second R33 gtst then put it in your near bone stock car and expect it to work and run your setup then you are really in for a bad time and a big rebuild bill. www.facebook.com/tunedbyanthony
  9. Hey Disco You have to think that because the ford is a v8, it has 2 more injectors so you can make more power with a smaller injector. We have 6 cyl's last time i checked, so we need a bigger injector. How do you think the 4 cyl's feel, those guys have to run 2000cc injectors when you start getting serious with e85, my fj20 runs the 2000's and ive seen 80% duty cycle on e85. (43psi boost) Birds: i really do not agree about getting 300kw on 550cc injectors on e85. I remember running out of flow at 300kw on 740's on several occations. It also depends what the ethanol content is too.
  10. Have you looked for any boost leaks ? I know this might sound stupid but I have seen massive boost leaks cause issues just like this one.
  11. half his luck, if he can sell them for that price what can you say ? a fool and his money shall soon be parted.
  12. Are you in a position to pull the injectors and get them cleaned and flow tested?
  13. Did you know.... The first production car the Ford Model T 1908 was flex fuel compatible ? It could run just as good on ethanol as did on gasoline. There was a brass knob on the right side of the steering wheel that the driver could change depending on what fuel he was using, it was linked to a mixture screw on the carby. so awesome.... Ford!
  14. I ran nismo 740cc's for 7 years on my own car and never had issues, tune them occasionally and they idle a 2.5 and 3 litre fine. I find some side feed's don't like E85 and can fail, but the Nismo 740's on 98 octane are a great injector. If you get a second hand set get them cleaned and flow tested before you use them
  15. I have seen some power fc's that won't connect to laptop, some versions power fc did not support laptop. Try a different power fc and go from there.
  16. you could have a boost leak under boost and its hitting the air flow cut. block your bov and pressure test the system and search for leaks
  17. I have found a cheap and easy way to mount yaris coils into the rb25det neo and also the s1 & s2 motors. You can just buy some thread bar the same size as the 8mm bolt on the s1 and 2 and the same size as the 10mm bolts that hold the NEO ones in place and cut it to size and use a bolt as a stopper to where it likes to sit and use another bolt on top to fasten it, worked great on my neo, when i changed to a s2 head all i did was turn down the bottom of the stud to a m5 1.0 and adapted it to the coil brackets. if you are worried about looks then fork out the cash for the kits getting around
  18. You can actually still get support for this ecu from Autronic, it is still more then capable of doing the job. If you do have to upgrade, then go for the Adaptronic Modular range of ecu's, they are very good.
  19. Hahahaha.. this is gold... Building my third RB30DET and had some confusion with the timing belt, google the question and there we go, I answered my own question 10 years ago =)
