  1. This is what you need to do. Sell the power fc and buy a Vi-pec. Problem solved. Even with jetro your still limited. Vi-pec is your best plug in option. Don't know about the Vipec? Look here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Gu...ml&hl=vipec and here. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Pl...ml&hl=vipec This ecu is fast becoming the best plug in option for Skylines and other imports
  2. i have a full monte race clutch and have had no issues with it. When we put it in the car we were missing the clutch bolts and used normal hi ten 8.8 bolts from repco. When i spoke to Jim about this he told me to take them off and replace them with standard nissan items, this was done the next weekend because all clutch's have to be installed correctly with the correct gear otherwise you can end up old mate here did. I am going to push my car to 550hp to rear wheels and go to power cruise. I am sure now the clutch is installed right, the dowles are soo chunky and sturdy its not funny. I cant believe your baging these clutch's out so bad. Why would you do that?
  3. that is a really good engine setup if you do go ahead with it.. you should PM Dirtgarage and get him to quote a engine build for you.. chances are it will be cheaper and will be built by someone who knows RB engines better then.. well everyone
  4. who's up for running E85 for power cruise ? where is the nearest outlet? I was thinkin bout pushing my beast to 400rwkw for power cruise and with standard rb25 cams im going to need to be running e85...
  5. email me, [email protected] and you can request r32 or r33 manuals.
  6. if you have a bearing problem it will cause low oil pressure, also a dud oil pump can do that as well. i would be taking the oil pump off the motor to inspect it to be sure if the tests come up ok. sometimes the back plate can came lose and cause issues like this, did you check them & lock tight them?
  7. question, what did the mechanic gap the plugs to? Take them out gab them to .7 and test. if you still have the same issue then you might have a coil pack issue.
  8. go back to the tuner, blame him for the bearing problem. Besides he should have told you to turn it off quicker and it could have been avoided and its his fault. Make him pay for your new engine and re-tune your new engine too! even though he was at fault for breaking your car.
  9. series 1 turbos had steel front wheels, s2 had nylon on the r33's. series 1.5 had steel. (i think )
  10. ask a friend if you can borrow his AFM to test. thats the best way to check it. good luck. sucks when your skyline acts up. doh!

  15. the spring in your wastegate is not strong enough to hold the pressure. upgrade the actuators. nice setup. tune seems allright as well. how much did that tune cost you ?
  16. when i had my gizmo 2 step i used to let the tail gaters have it when they get too close. After that they stay back a fair bit. too bad if they had a fuel leak. KABOOM
  17. It sucks when you are told something direct from the horses mouth and it is the wrong information. I am sure Dirtgarage can relate to that. At the end of the day, shit happens and if we don't have strong opinions about stuff then SAU would get boring real damn quick.
  18. Yeah i know!! but I think it was Hardy's Autronic not Anthony's Have come a LONG way since then This thread is pretty old mate... 2004, and someone bumped it in 2006.. Damn reading this thread brings back memories, this is one of the many reasons I wanted to work it all out and do my own tuning

  25. Cycle idle is NOT anti lag, its for cooling when the car is on anti lag rundown, so when your not on anti lag the extra air and no spark in the cyl cools it down heaps, i noticed when idleing around with cycle idle the engine would not go to operating temp on a very hot day.. which is weird... You can turn anti lag off with a digital input switch (but cycle idle stays on), and when my car is on 24psi with anti lag there is no such thing as traction what so ever. Its just a big show off thing i wreckon but its fun and grabs attention its also kinda hard to drive the car with cycle idle.. its mainly for WOT driving so i will have it on again for power cruise.
