hmm, i have run a set of the A539s on my old car...mind you they were 15" but yeah, really happy with them for the price tag...they stick like shit to a blanket so to speak, even in the wet, mine were pretty high profile so they had alot of roll in the sidewall but if you were going to get lower profile they should be fine. They are a very soft compound so they will wear quicker than others, but they will hold the road really nicely and they aren't noisy at all...reccomend them!

yeah, apparently some ppl went and laid down some oil and did buronouts for an hour and a half, then a shitload of cop cars showd up...lol

? hydraulic hand brakes
oRiCLe replied to Trust33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
well they only really involve putting a master cylinder in the cabin without a resoviour, so that it connects in between the master cylinder and the rear brakes...the one i had in my past car involved re-routing a section of the rear brake line into the cabin through a master cylinder that would normally be used on a trailer, that had an in and and out instead of an out and a resovoiur, then just modified a handbrake i got from the wreckers to activate it...you can buy hydraulic handbrake setups from places like race-and-rally i think... the master cylinders look much like this one... could probably set one up like they have in the rally cars so that it's a seperate handle next to the steering wheel or something hehe -

Just received an email from the local transport officer from council stating the change in demerit points in NSW applicable as of TODAY! thought ppl might be interested... > Applicable from today ! > > Speeding fine and demerit point change. > > The penalty for speeding up to 15 km/h over the limit has increased from 2 to 3 demerit points. For light vehicle drivers (eg cars, motorbikes, vans, etc) the fine has been reduced from $130 to $75, while the fine for heavy vehicles drivers remains $199. > > 3 points also apply for speeding up to 15 km/h over the 40 km/h school bus speed limit. > > The penalties for speeding more than 15 km/h over the speed limit remain unchanged.

Re-exporting parts
oRiCLe replied to dojobi's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
can goto NZ i presume, may be an expensive excercise tho wouldnt it?? :S I always thought you just had to replace all the parts on it with stock stuff to comply it if its under SEVS... how would it work and they be able to check it if you brought over a container with ur car and said it had all the aftermarket parts sittin in the back seat or the boot??? like im bringin parts in for mine that i have accumulated that while i have been over there but arent on the car yet, but also, my car doesn't need to go through SEVS compliance... -

oRiCLe replied to The Mafia's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
nice dip there right where u want the most torque! dunno, too lean/rich? hehe, doubt it if u got it tuned...heat maybe? throw a bag of ice on the engine BEFORE u start it make her run cooler hehe...nice power but what boost? -
had any luck finding them? i may be able to source them for you, pm me if your interested?
-
How much do they decrease the throw buy ..i may be keen, will find out tomorrow when i get paid hehe and let ya know...
-
maybe its 20MHz, cant remember :S
-
radio, you can buy frequency shifters that go inline with the aerial socket, from like jaycar, also that shift all the stations +10MHz so u will tune everything 10 MHz down on the radio, like nova would be 86.9 etc... as for tv, japan has NTSC, not sure what you would do there with that one...

okay, maybe a stupid question, but can ppl record the sounds of their BOV and make a thread or something relating to bov sounds? that would be so kewl...would be like shopping for noise hehe, coz i must admit i want to get a bov soon, but it would be really kewl if i could hear them before i got it...like try before you buy style hehe...

Hmm, well my first was a stock standard R33 Gts-t, was not modified...the guy bought a lemon basically, was in really bad condition, anyway, he let me take it for a spin... i really like the way it sat on the road, it seems to be a very predictable chassis, controllable oversteer and great "bum feel" hehe...i diddn't mind it, just not enough usable power band IHMO...so as for power and torque, it wasnt very surprising... Second, however was a really sckmik orange with gold pearl R32 Gts-t in QLD, hmm nice, was high flowed and suspension work, upped boost, now that was a nice machine, liked the torque and power of that let me assure you... Orange R32 ...speaking of which, does any1 know this car or the owner may be on the forum??? so now i have stepped up once again, and am soon to have my 32 GTR i just love the thrust back you get in the seat of a skyline hehe, why would you want to drive anything else...

hehe, nice to see i'm not alone in the big wait to get my car from japan i bought my car in november last year, and just saw her 2 weeks ago, got to take it for a spin round the warehouse and all hehe, where it is patiently waiting to be able to board a ship to OZ...damn it, now i've driven it i want it to arrive here quicker! still waiting to get her an import approval, then it's straight on a boat...not long now, it's an April 1990 build so can apply for approval in 23 days now not that i'm counting...ahh, the joys of importing...hehe

Straight cut gears in a auto
oRiCLe replied to LBR33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
an auto box uses hydraulics to drive it doesn't it? so that wouldn't be possible... hmm, sort of, well it uses "wet clutches" anyway after further investigation, check out this, now i understand how an auto box works eheh, good old how stuff works http://auto.howstuffworks.com/automatic-tr...ransmission.htm -
Best Location for Boost guage ...
oRiCLe replied to Coupe-This's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
hey guys, soz to dig this thread up again, but has anyone looked at mounting a boost gauge in the air vent on the right hand side of the steering wheel?? I have seen it done in a rexxie, but not sure if it would be possible in a R32, and i cant check it coz i aint got mine in OZ yet. If some1 has done it, i would be keen on a pic of how it looks, or even just a measurement of the air vent itself would be kewl to see if it is possible... cheers.
