  1. Price dropped to $17,900. You won't be able to find a Stagea of this quality anywhere else for that price. There's a good chance though that if I don't sell it by early next week, I'll just keep the car... won't have time to muck around selling it once Uni starts again.
  2. I'd be interested, but wouldn't be able to go any higher than $22,000, email me if you're interested.
  3. bump! Quite a few interested ppl but I'd like to seal a deal before I got back to Uni next week...
  4. Wow.... look what I found... this may prove useful to you: ? Edit: Holy crap, it gets better, I think I've just found a revolution in Internet browsing:
  5. In answer to a few questions I've received: -the car has a 3in catback exhaust, dump etc. are standard -the car has never seen more than 10PSI boost -the car will get two new front tyres, that's all it needs for the RWC -the Stereo in the car is stock. I have a chipped xbox with 120GB HDD (plenty of room for MP3s), LCD screen and Sony headunit in it right now, but that'd be $500.- extra.

    March Super Turbo

Hehe, I have a set of Gitty injectors and a nice bosch pump here, also a GTiR T28... should give it a go once I've got compliance sorted out... but 1.6 bar seems like a lot of boost!

The MA09ERT is a 4 cylinder. #4 is sort of hidden under the intercooler but it's a four cylinder.

  9. Selling my Stagea. The reason I'm selling it is that I'm now a poor (well sort of) Medical Student and I simply don't need a car like that to drive to Uni everyday, it'll just get scratched in the carpark and that'll only piss me off. I imported the car myself in August last year. It had an auction grade of 4.5 and 40,000 odd k's on the clock. I have the full logbook out of Japan. the car now has 76,000km on it and I have serviced it every 5,000km. The car has cost me well above $23,000 to import, and I have since spent another couple of grand on various things. It just had an auto oil flush and change and it has a brand spanker windscreen imported from NZ for $1000.- in it. I also have the original exhaust as well as airbox. There's also a set of HKS lowered springs which the buyer can have. Anyway here it is: Nissan Stagea, RS Four V Turbo Rare silky snow pearl colour Automatic gearbox 76,000km Complianced Sept. 2004 REGO UNTIL September included factory aero/body kit including rear spoiler factory alloys turbo timer Apexi boost gauge dual airbags electric everything cloth interior dual sunroof has both cargo barrier net and cover in the boot "wood grain" type stereo surround Just came back from a drive to Sydney, that's the first time I've taken the car on a longer than 1 hour drive and fuel consumption was below 11 litres average. Price $17,900. You can ring my mobile on 0402222373 or my home number: 07 3879 2284. I'm in Durack, near Archerfield. Below are some pics INCLUDING ORIGINAL AUCTION SHEET with translation.
  10. I'd really like to know which AWD manual box is suitable. Has anyone successfully used an R32 box? When you're talking about Push/Pull, you're refering to the clutch, and afaik the R34 GT-R has a "pull" type clutch?

    March Super Turbo

No worries, I'll take some pics over the weekend and post them up. I bought the car over a year ago (March '04) and had it stored at a mate's car yard over there. Unfortunately the turbo seezed up completely because the engine wasn't run for such a long time. The Turbo's only a watercooled T2 though, same as on the late model (87+) ET Pulsars, so it wasn't hard to find a replacement. Even without a turbo the car still had plenty of torque up to around 3000rpm, after that the supercharger turns off (it has a clutch on it) and the car doesn't run too well without a turbo :-) I saw a MA09ERT motor a couple of years ago, someone had put it in an EXA Turbo. It seems the engine has the same mounts as an E15ET, in fact the block looks very similar apart from the tiny pistons/bore inside it. My plan is to swap the bottom end for one from an E15ET, bigger injectors and a T25G off a CA18DET, bob's your uncle, instant stroker from 990cc to 1500cc. Might need aftermarket management but I'm expecting big things from this little car! The exhaust is truely tiny, either 2" or maybe even 1.5", so that can definitely do with some improvement. The car is Active Green, I was going to respray the car when I saw the picture of it in Japan, but I've changed my mind, I reckon it doesn't look too bad now that I've seen it in real life, fairly unique colour anyway! The interior is in very good shape, which is a bonus. It also has one of those old style sunroofs that you can either tilt up or take out completely, even a bag for the sunroof is still in the trunk

    March Super Turbo

I have a March ST sitting here in my garage, it arrived from Japan 2wks ago, if you guys are interested I'll post a bit more about it?
  13. That's a tad cheap for sparkplugs, don't u think
  14. Well NZ$10,000 is very cheap. Auction prices for Series 2 Stageas (that's turbo, AWD, Auto, Auction grade 4+) in Japan are between JPY700,000 to JPY1.2mio. An S (ie manual) can go for up to 1.7mio. NZ$10,000 is only JPY770,000. I don't know anything about duty/tax in NZ, but shipping on a RoRo is around NZ$1,200, so there's another JPY100,000 to add on top of that, which gives you a car cost price to import (excluding FOB or taxes, duties on either end) of JPY 800,000 at the very least. That's NZ$11,000. And just to emphasise again, excluding FOB,taxes, duty. So either your dealers are buying shitboxes and doing them up (respray, bog up the rust) or the NZ$10,000 cars are 2nd/3rd owner cars in NZ - or maybe RWD N/A, autos. In Australia costs are: -Japanese auction price ~JPY900,000 at the very least for a decent series 2 -FOB costs, sometimes up to JPY100,000 depending on your contact over there so total of around AU$13,000 for a very cheap Stagea, FOB Japan. -Shipping of around AU$1000 -Duty 10% on FOB price + freight $1400.- -GST on FOB price + freight 10$ $1400.- -all sorts of clearance charges through customs, usually around AU$500.- sometimes more depending on whether you need a tow truck etc. etc. -compliance, around AU$6000.- (haven't checked on that one for a while!) -All up around AU$23,300... then add a dealer margin to that, and there you are. Also, the OZs don't have to wind back clocks (although many do) because the Japs already do it for them. Of the seven cars I've imported only a couple had speedos that hadn't been touched.
  15. Well it is a new exhaust, I never used it, only had it on the car for compliance... and paid $300.- for it originally.
  16. I haven't tried it but it'd have to be clipped on, just about any car I've seen so far is like that. The bottom is tucked in behind the dash, so start from the top...
  17. I have one here, I'd want $200.- for it... I'm in Durack, next to Archerfield...
  18. I was mucking around with photoshop a bit because I was concerned about the placement of my numberplate once the FMIC arrives, but I reckon it'll look alright:
  19. You're in the wrong thread.... no... in the wrong forums!
  20. well if you reply to a thread it gets bumped back up to the top of the thread list so everybody sees it. So a bump is when you post to move a thread back to the top of the list. Mostly used in sales threads
  21. Just giving this a quick *bump* in case any1 else is interested in a windscreen. Guys, keep in mind these cost $1080.- off Nissan, so they're a good deal at $850.- I have one more windscreen only, Terminal wants the other one and one of them is going on my car.
  22. Get a pod filter. The car has a fairly loud induction noise and you can definitely hear the stock bov. That's really all that's needed, anything else is a waste of $$ in that department.
  23. Regarding the insurance thing, I checked with JustCars and they want me to pay my $1100.- excess and it'd also affect my rating so that's no good seeing as I can get a new windscreen from Japan for less than my excess...
