    2006 F1 Season

there will always be cheating in F1-this 'agreement' means sht
  3. my fastest GTR is modded to the point of not much left to do - Garage Saurus demo car in Japan at one stage -2.8L N1 block with all the fruit- OS Gikon box- Penske shocks, carbon doors/front gaurds/bonnet/wing blah blah etc etc- anyway whatever-its stiil not as quick as some of the newer better stuff around if they were modded to this level-the shortcomings of the original design (R32 it was designed as a 4 door family mobile originally remember way back in 1988) show through. from the factory they are too fkn heavy/woeful aero/sht house brakes and now 14 years on the weakness of the RB26 is ordinary (that strange knocking you are now hearing is bearings spinning in RB26's all over Oz and in Japan ha ha)-Toyota 1J and 2 J are a way better engine there. Like I said I enjoy mine buy Ill never be a guy who says to his dying day they are the greatest cause they are last decade's top 5 and in 2006 that means nothing really-Id hate for the GTR passionate guys here to start to sound like the old fart Holden/Ford wankers at bathurst- "like oh yeah the 1969 GTS Monaro was the greatest" kinda sht
  4. at least the panels and body shape is the same-unlike JGTC (Super GT now)
  5. you missed my point which was that the old Falcadore's are not to shabby at 2:08 laps for what they are- I have more than 1 GTR at home and really enjoy them but anyone who thinks GTR's in this day and age are the biggest baddest fastest thing around needs to stop reading 1990 wheels magazines and realise Expo 88 in Brisbane is over and that there are a number of cars on the market now that shit all over them-end of story
  6. Correct- they are hard to drive-heavy under tyred car with a H patern dogbox and the handling of a cattletruck if not set up well-they also dont give much warning when about to let go due to lack of finese and feel and this really shows up at a place like Bathurst where if you are 5cm off line then you are a big chance to wall it
  7. at least my meaninless comparison didnt compare an open wheel race car to a tin top
  8. Ha ha Im both a GTR driver and a Ferrari fan- no hope for me
  9. Ha ha- yeah the safety car almost needed a driver change and brake pad change it did so many laps
  10. Now the R34 JGTC ill give you that one-even if the run vitually nothing from the road version 34GTR (inboard shocks-carbon brakes-any engine from the factory -the list is endless ) I was lucky enough to see a JGTC advan Supra at a Yoko test day at Qld raceway a few years ago and it ran 9-10 secs quicker than the V8 SC record- amazing piece of kit
  11. its called no safety cars- cheers
  12. I have a Fujitsu V8SC car and let me tell you we are very limited in many areas also---live rear axles for fk sake and 10:1 comp ratio, 7500 limiter, in a 5 Litre pushrod V8 on 98 pump fuel. 2 wheel drive with shty little 280/680 17 in slicks and the cars are closer 1500kg with fuel and driver-so our 'Taxis' still arnt bad for what they are especially compared to 'mighty' GTR -I have a track 32GTR and cant hold a candle to the 2007 Carrera cup car( mate of mine has 2 and leaves me eating dust at the track )-they lap 2:11 at Bathurst which is awesome for a 3.6l NA 400hp car-still say it makes the GTR rather slow looking (I know 1992 is a long time ago but lets face it the GTR is old technolgy now compared to these new German rockets) and saying lets strip out the GTR blah blah - well if thats your logic lets strip my V8 down to 1100kg and ill strap on 2 turbos if you want a level playing field
  13. This whole campaign is Ch 10 Bullsht way of stirring up sht -and if they want free to air sport so bad then they have to pay for it--Im glad V8SC has gone to ch7-fk ch10 and fk this campaign-ill pay for cable if it gets to this

    2006 F1 Season

The Stone's arnt the only good blokes in V8SC- I know a another team principal in a Ford team who is evrything the Stone's are-oh and they also won on Sunday-unlike that green Caltex car that has been mediorce all season-ha ha good to see the young guy beat home his granpa team mate for 3rd Frank ill cop as fair-but Ron????? Ummm not sure If Alonso does another stupid fkn victory dance like after the Japan GP ill scream-he is evrthing oppsite to Senna for me
  17. Ha ha 2:13:820 pole time- Id forgotten that-a lot of peeps bag the V8SC's, but a 2:06 from Murphy in 2003 makes the old GTR look kinda slow and race pace last sunday was dipping into the 2:08's (when did the chase come on line-1987??)
  18. Let me guess-those things are a near stocko with a cage, bigger brakes a bit of suspension work and an exhaust
  19. Ill be in the 888 camp-time for a Ford win-1998 is a long time ago-Then again maybe a Red Holden FTW just for Brockie

    2006 F1 Season

ill 2nd that....V8/Champ cars going to Ch7 and I wish F1 would to
  22. Seriously on that budget go buy a 125cc Kart and have some fast fun...I have brought in plenty of race car s from Japan and there is lots to be spent when all is fixed and made safe....i think you may be disappointed with what you end up with on a 20k budget....my current club sprint GTR which was 800000 Yen and loaded with all sorts of goodies now owes me over 50k after 2 years of development/tuning/extra safety gear/slicks etc
  23. What about 1988 when the Sierra'a romped home. GTR's are quick but also dated technology...my highly modded one gets left in the dust(at QR) by my mates 2005 carrera cup car...embarising really when a 2.8L twin turbo(600HP) 4WD car is smashed by a 3.6L NA(400HP) rear wheel drive car. ha ha...those Porsche are an amazing piece of gear.
  24. Ha ha....many of us have gone through this stage....dont be fooled though, everytime you step your car up in the power stakes you then get used to that and want more and more..........I found its better to leave you road car as is and go buy a race car and get your fun that way...or even better go buy a 125cc kart...these things will make and road car seem slow
  25. its amazing what happens when you go and buy a top line NHRA car and bring back here Either way good on them ........now lets hope Morgan can step it up and take it to them....side by side 4.55 would be nice one day
