Dose and one know much about the B&M manual short shifters. It looks like the one shifter is suitable for most of the Nissan RWD and AWD gear boxes. They are available form ModYourCar.com.au for $299 If they are as good as it looks I might try one. B&M Nissan Shifter

Which exhaust should I choose for my R33 GTSt? I’m ready to take the first step in modifying my R33 by fitting a Cat Back Exhaust. I don’t want it to be obscenely noisy as it needs to be cop friendly and not piss me of when on long drives. I don’t really want a big wanky tip but it looks like most of the Jap exhausts have this but I guess I can live with it. I am also not that concerned if it is stainless or not as I’m not planing to keep the car for 30 years and I don’t mind if it is new or used just as long as it is in good condition. In short I want a socially acceptable, high flowing, non wanky exhaust that will eventually allow me to aim for 250rwkw. I dropped into Ultimate Performance Imports who had a 9 to choose from ranging from $600 - $950. Ultimate Performance Imports http://www.upimports.com.au/UPI_Parts/exhaust1.php I would love it if I could get a few opinions on what one I should go for. Thanks

Who to trust to service my skyline in Melbourne? Im looking for some one I can trust to look after the car and not rip me off. Im confident doing oil changes and all the simple stuff my self but I think it would probably be a good idea to send it to a professional every now and then just incase im missing things. It has done 76,000 and 6,000 since it cam to oz. Some where close to ether Eltham or Dandenong.would be good. Any recommendations? Thanks

Wheel recommendations for my R33 GTSt 4 door Im thinking about getting some 17 for my car when the current tyres are worn out. I like the look of some of the Enki wheel and think I would like a simple 5 spoke design in white. Dose any one have any recommendations and what prices would I be looking at? Thanks

C’s short shifter for ECR33 Do you still have any kits for a R33 GTSt ? Chris -
I have decided to get a Whiteline works kit fitted to my R33 GTSt I have spoken to one of the listed distributors but they don’t really sound like they know what they are on about, don’t return my calls and can’t tell me when they can fit the kit. All the listed distributors are an equal distance from me so that location doesn’t really mater. Has any one ever used any of them? Can you recommend who I should go to Feel free to post positive comments but it you have negative comments about a distributor I think it would be best if you PM them. Im thinking about getting some suspension mods done to my R33 GTSt 4 door The car is basically my every day driver and I spend a fair bit of time on rough country type roads. It sees the occasional spirited drive up the mountans and I plan to do a bit of track work when I get the time. So far I’m thinking I will keep it simple and get a Whiteline works kit at $2,289 fitted. Is this good thinking of is there other options I should be considering? I don’t want it bone jarringly hard but don’t mind a firm ride

Yep that right It is a S14 200SX tow bar that I got from Nissan. I think it will go on to a 2 door with no modification but on the 4 door the is a gay bulge thing in the back wall of the boot (To make the boot a bit bigger and usable. I am going to have the bars that slide into the chassis rails extended a few inches.

The tow bar came from Nissan it is a S14 200sx tow bar and cost me $265 with all the bits and pieces. I was also quoted $395 for a custom one. I was told the S14 kit from Nissan will fit on the skylines fine and it almost dose the only problem is that there is a bulge in the lower section of the rear boot wall. this bulge stops the tow bar mounts from sliding all the way in to the chassis rails so I will have to have them extended about 3 inches. My car is a 4 door the 2 door might not have this bulge so it will go or piss easy. -

I own both a VL Calais turbo and a Skyline. What’s wrong with a tow bar on a skyline? I’m not wanting to tow a horse float just a aluminum motor bike trailer and two bikes a total of 350 kg. Skylines can tow fine I have seen them towing boats and one with a small pop up caravan. R33 GTS-t 4 doors have a towing capacity of 900 KG -
I took by rear bar off yesterday to fit a tow bar and found a little rust it hasn't done any significant damage yet and I think I should be able to fix and stop it ok. My car is a 95 R33 GTSt 4 door with 70,000, Never bent and in visualy perfict condition. I just thought I would let other R33 owners know about the problem so they can check there cars. To see the problem you will have to pull the rear bar off. 1. Remove number plate and undo the bolt that holds the bracket down. 2. There are three nuts on the inside of the boot on both sides behind the trim and below the taillights you will need to remove these from both sides. 3. With the boot open there are I think 4 maybe more black plastic plug type clips that hold the top of the bumper on they will need to be removed. They are a bit tricky I tried levering them out with a screw driver but ended up having to use pincers and just pulled them up until they popped out (I only cracked one) 4. Now you should be able to pull the bar off. The problem area There is a upside down L shaped bracket (The one the black plastic plug clip things go into). On my car there is rust stains that have leached down from behind this and a few bits below it where the paint is bubbling up. It looks like moisture has got in between the bracket and the back wall of the boot. I recommend all R33 owners check this spot, before I pulled the bar off I had no idea my car had any rust. Has any one else had this problem? Are there any other Rust Hot Spots I should know about? Any Recommendations on how I should go about fixing it ? Thanks

Darker do you have any more pics of your install? It looks like a very neat way of doing it -
Im getting a light motorbike trailer made up to tow with my skyline and have the option of ether 15-inch Holden interceptor wheels or ford interceptor wheels (I think 16 inch) for a little more. I remember hearing some where that the ford wheels have the same stud pattern and similar offset to the skyline. Is this correct? if so it will mean I wont have to carry two spares. Thanks

So how tight should every thinkbe done back up ?

What tourq should the nuts and the bolt be done back up with ?

My car sneezes and sounds very cute :bahaha:

Good idea I have been thinking about that too. But maybe they are that way for a reason eg alternator not powerful enough,. to much heat in the head light assembly or wiring not good enough.

I got one in the shed i will go have a look -
I have a stuffed shock in my R33 and have a second hand replacement to put it. I looks like a relatively easy job so I think I would prefer to do it rather than paying to have some one else do it. From what I can tell it is held in by only 3 bolts. One bolt on the bottom and two holding it into the strut tower. Can any one tell me how much torque should be put on the bolts and what the best way to get to them is? The two on the tower look a bit tricky and that the seat and parcel shelf may need to be pulled out to get to them. Any tips welcome Thanks
