Guys, i've searched VicRoads but not sure for certain so just a quick one for anyone that has done this before.
Mate of mine bought a car in NSW, obviously to transfer to VIC and in his name, he needs a RWC.
We have that organised, the problem is he is really busy with work and I will go get the RWC for him then he can go to VicRoads and get the car transferred to his name.
Were just not sure does it make a difference if I get the RWC if it is going under his name?
As far as I remember, when an RWC is issued they use your licence for details etc.
Will it cause hassles trying to transfer the car to his name at VicRoads?
Thanks and sorry for a bit of a long winded post!
quick edit: when I sold my previous car I got the RWC and obviously handed that to the seller with the vehicle, this is what I explained to my mate, it shouldn't make a difference, but we are not sure if it works the same way with an interstate vehicle, plus putting vic plates on it. He is worried because it's a brand new registration to Vic not just a transfer.
