na, will be something simple like your coolant temperature sensor. cost bugger all to replace. change that and problem solved.

So I fitted the stock bov back on but on boost can still hear a squeal and when releasing throttle still making a flutter sound thinking my bov was leaking... I've checked piping everythingp seems secure other than jacking car up and checking back of turbo exhaust dump etc what else should I check? Ps when I went thru an EPA recently and had standard exhaust back on car the squeal was still there but sounded way different just a bit more info in case it helps.. Could I have possibly blown the exhaust wheel?

I found a few 7s but not long enough good idea with gasket too ill fit bov on with one bolt now see how it goes until tom till I hit bolt shop thx mate!

Removed My bov to refit factory item but missing one of the bolts any other I can use from car till I make it to metro bolts Tommorow? i really wouldn't worry about it. like above poster said, car prob running bit rich, maybe timing needs adjustment, unburnt fuel flames up out the exhaust. do you have a de-cat pipe?

you are hitting fuel cut due to the stock ecu limitations. you either need a piggy back, something like an s-afc, or new management ie. nistune to overcome this and run higher boost. until then run 11psi or so and your stock ecu shouldnt have a hissy and freak. it's been covered quite a few times dude! "fuel cut" in search and you will find many results! good luck.

thanks for responses! hmm i was erring more the side of a wrecker motor too. the thing im not sure about though is if you can accurately comp test a motor if its out of the car?

Just did my tax return. My 33 is sick Harmonic balancer came loose... need a motor. Anyone got a good running engine for me? Wouldn't mind it coming with a decent standard turbo also... Or does anyone know anywhere good to get my engine reconditioned at least? Cheers.

i had same prob. with coils... i thought to myself i'll try the silicone fix. i loaded them up with silicone, haven't skipped a beat in 6 months. even on full boost not a miss in sight. try that first before you go and spend $$ on new coils. i've also read of quite a few cars with big power running siliconed coils...

from the sound it makes on startup sounds like an exhaust leak? manifold possibly leaking... hopefully that's all it is!

take it to a mech. asap! i wish i had gone to see one earlier. i started hearing a similar noise, took it to my mech, turns out harmonic balancer had come loose... left it too long and had damaged my crank hopefully this isnt your problem. -trel
