Ok, so worked on the car today, removed coilpacks and yep, little pools of water around plugs... few tissues did the job nicely then some compressed air around to blow crud out. Car runs 100% again. Cheers.

After reading thread after thread on oils. I NEED to know, what is the standard gearbox and diff oil nissan put in our cars from factory?? I want to change mine (diff and gearbox) on friday. Again i've read post after post and I can't decide which to use... Others say VMX-80 others go and say Redline shockproof which is really expensive. I don't have any crunching, I just want to change oils for maintenance. R33 RB25DET. Cheers.

Was planning on doing your suggestions tomm. Weird thing is though, I started it today no problem until car got warm and I opened throttle a bit.. Misfire again even on idle.. Looks like a trip to burson tomm. For plugs and can of compressed air.. Will let you know how it all goes. Thanks for the suggestions.

So tonight after work I decided to clean my engine bay. All well and good, did it while car was running no problems.... I finish up start driving home and just briefly gave it a squirt and I got the dreaded miss... No worries I thought, it must be due to the engine clean I had just done. I get about 3 streets away from my place and the misfire starts on low throttle, I pull up into my driveway and the car sounds as if it is running on 5 cylinders now... I'll leave it overnight and see if there might have been some excess water that may have dropped into cylinders. Would anything else cause this though other than "your coilpacks are hammered" or "change your plugs"... It must be related to the clean I just did, but if I have damaged anything in the process what should I be looking at? Cheers.

i use tpg, $50 for 50gb ADSL2+ i sync at 19,000kbps. never had an issue, use a download scheduler and i am getting speeds of 1.3mb off rapidshare... pretty good for me.

Friend of mine invited us to beastclub cruise too.... it was crap, never again. Was no fun driving paranoid i could be pulled up anytime and a chopper following the cruise.

could be loose wiring to the cluster, could be a dud connection inside the cluster for the tacho. play around with the wiring first. then try putting in a new one. as i said 2 mates skylines got the exact same thing happening, new cluster problem solved. cheers.

the cluster itself is f**ked. skylines are notorious for it. has nothing to do with ignition. rev tacho jumps everywhere wildly.

i heard fitting a short shifter can potentially wreck the gearbox, or wear it out quicker over time. is this true?

+1 on what ^^ said. i bought mine with 87xxx something k's on it but bullshit import k's are legit... very very rare. i did mine, water pump, belt, idler etc. do it to be safe. if the belt busts or skips a tooth, you're finished.

gdogzgtr, I don't quite follow... Can you elaborate on that a little bit more? Do you mean that if/when i get pulled over they have to sit in their car for 15 mins doing paperwork to bring that history up or something else? I mean, as I stated in a post earlier, my driving record is pretty squeaky clean, I did admit to doing one stupid thing and I haven't done it since. How long do these "field contacts" last on your record ?

to put a hu in an r33 is the easiest car i have ever worked on.... i can pull the dash apart in under 10 mins now lol.
