  1. Yeah it's for a cd stacker or something. I got one in my 32. I removed all the wiring when i put in my headunit. Top left switch for mine was a turbo timer, but it was fried so I hooked the switch up to the tv and now its a on/off switch to use with the handbrake. That hole is ment to be a LCD display. But I haven't seen that nismo thing before.
  2. Hire one from BP. It's like $80 a day or something like that, other servos might be cheaper.
  3. I have a 32 GTR. Had a similar problem. Just needed to top up the juice in the boot. Instead of running on full I put a tad bit extra in so now it's a mm or two above the full mark. 23 and 33 GTR's are fine to drive around in rear wheel mode.
  4. I thrashed my GTR one night pretty bad and towards the end of the night I had similar things, lights would dim and power stearing would go heavy. In and out of gear. Turns out my battery was knackered.
  5. Yeah man I'm in the same boat. I got a GTR, a little off topic but i want to set up a oil catch can so I don't know if i should block the pcv valve and run the catch can or let it breath and run a catch can OR block/ unblock the pcv and run no catch can. (stock set up) I've been told people just block it to keep the revs down at idel and numerous things about a RB26 not creating alot of blow by to really worry about any problems. I guess the only reason why it breaths in the first place is just for emission laws. But if you block it, all that pressure has gotta go somewhere... ie. through seals causing oil leaks. Out the dip stick..
  6. When you get a wheel alignment the dude should be able to back off some camber even if you don't have adjustable arms. I got new wheels and a alignment for my 32 GTR and asked the dude if there was anything they could do to help rid that, he said yeah and did something..
  7. Hey! Yeah I just went to Nissan now and the gasket is $83.07!! I'll still silastic the crap out of when i put it on. I also need to replace the seals where the axles come out from so the whole pumpkin needs to come out... So remove exhaust, disconnect the drive shaft, disconnect the axles, 2 bolts ontop of the backing plate going into the sub frame then there is a bracket holding the diff up to the sub frame so disconnect them. And there is a pin up top holding the diff into the sub frame for extra support or something and the then just give it a wiggle back and front and it 'should' just pop out.... Just dont be under neath it!!
  8. Yeah i my car bling in the mail a little while ago. Membership card no - 849 Cheers
  9. Hey can i please get the VIC CLUB MEMBER on my username. cheers
  10. Hey my diff is leaking like a SOB and I'm gonna take off the backing plate to try and seal it up again. Do they run a gasket or siastic? And is the backing plate easy to take off? Are the axles mounted in the backing plate and is the backing plate mounted to anything else under there? Sombacisly my question is does it just pop off? Thanks for your help.
  11. No risk ey tony? Who's money you spending?
  12. I'll just go for safe tune, no crazy boost and ahit. I have plans for more cylinder head work late next year.
  13. I was going to get 550's in and hop around with that for a while untill I get the power fc in and tuned. Now im just thinking I'll get the 750's slap em in got new pod filters waiting to go in, get a adjustable FPR and I'll put my power fc in and change oils untill I can get it booked in for a tune and most likely strap it to the back or a trailer and tow it down.i dears??
  14. yeah so my injectors on my GTR are shagged and i want to throw in 750's. but my question to you all is, will it be ok to drive? i know itll run rich. real rich. but will there be any massive problems that i can avoid? obviously some fuel might or probably will leak into the sump but thatll be a quick fix with a oil change before i get a tune done HOPEFULLY in a few weeks. what do you think?
  15. My ipoo says most of its cleared. Should be an interesting night rain or no rain.
  16. I had my engine rebuilt for my 32 GTR a few years ago and after the run in I found I wasn't making full boost and was braking down. I found my stock IC plumbing was piping off and then re sealing (took me a while to find that one) then it ran good for a few years and then for a while I had a problem of it breaking down under boost, poping and farting, miss firing like a mofo!! I spent almost every few months changing spark plugs and checking AFM's IC piping. Then I decided to buy new coil packs. Oh man what a difference!!! Red-lining holding boost no worries now. Went with the splitfire. Best investment!
  17. Yo GoHard! Cheers for that!! I have a grey 32 GTR, and after seeing the pics of the dude sparaying his brembos silver I was thinking about doing the same. But I also really like the black with white Nissan... To many options!!
  18. I'm sure it been mentioned but does the clear come in a heat resistant too? The tins I've looked at are just a colour heat resistant to 'x' amount of degrees but I haven't come across any clear yet. I'll keep looking. I'll do mine in a few weeks, just the standard black with white Nissan.
  19. i was involved in something like this 7-8 years ago. i hit a guy in my tank of an XF and destroyed his car. (i hit him, he hit the next person) insurance sorted it and i payed my excess and that was that. about a year or so later i got letters from some mob (i cant remember now) saying i owed money for his car and out of pocket expenses too. i called them back pretending to be someone else and found out this mob after me was some debt collector or soemthing like that. just do what i did and dont respond! my old man said they cant do anything but hassle me. ...my XF was fine
