  3. hey mate, sent u pm of interest. any interior pics. can you email the lot to me [email protected] cheers.
  4. yeah, just lay a hot sh*t on his face. i saw him follow me in from burwood highway... apparently knows his stuff about cars... but he interogatted me and my friend in a dc2r about having nos. im pretty sure its obvious if the car has nos. hey raz, did he let you drive home after he busted you? coz apparently sometimes they don't...
  5. hahahahaha... man, the caulfield race course carpark has officially screwed my suspension... sOOo many half metre deep pot holes and the traffic is shocking... can take hours to leave the stupid oval... whenever i exit, i routinely scrape the sh*t outta my front bar and do exactly ditto as what you wrote above... hahaha... unintentionally of course...
  6. they had some big huge scary black book which they took out when they pulled me over about power to weight. when i saw the book i thought i was gone... but i'm guessing it has all the specs they need, and as long as the officer thinks your in the bad, he can fine you. hate how the system works...
  7. damn sorry to hear about that raz, i was at knox last month with kong and pettet pulled me over searched and stuff as well. i got threatened that my car was illegal for a p-plater, but he let us go, coz we were being nice. as far as i knew 32's were okay, but i asked him and apparently not anymore... not sure how but he didn't manage to find anything to epa me for... phew...
  8. The following parts for sale, buyers pay for postage but everything is negotiable, will post pics up when i get home. Greddy/Trust Type-R BOV $220 - includes the type-r bov, mounting flange adaptors for r33/r32 onto stock bov location, also includes the snout which converts it to plumb back. very large bov designed for high boost applications, makes loud whooshing noise and can also be plumbed back for silent operation. Standard r32 gts-t Intercooler $offers - standard hcr32 type-m gts-t intercooler. reasonable condition for its age, was taken off car at 80,000km. good for those looking for standard parts or a great upgrade from silvia's. can include any necessary standard piping from turbo to intercooler or from cooler to intake. Standard r32 gts-t Steering Wheel $offers - average condition, not looking for too much as i have no use for it with my current momo. will post pics of condition. I'm located in SE Melbourne. contact on 0412808819 or [email protected]. Thanks all, - dan.
  9. i have a trust type-r, hks ssqv and a blitz supersound... alot of money wasted on bovs, but now that i, running custom piping for my FMIC, i just have my blitz bov mounted on the return pipe in my front bar. the trust/greddy type-r bov is a really large item, gives the standard, but very loud whoooossshhhing sound and can also be used as a plumb back bov. becuase of the enormous size of the bov it's designed to handle high boost applications. im looking at selling it around the 220 mark, including mounting adaptor for the 33, bov and the snouts that convert it to plumbback. lemme know if interested.
  10. sounds good, so exactly how far out do they normally roll the guards? and are they as obvious as those bolt on flares that rim the guards? anyone have any pics of rolled guards?
  11. hahah yeah i heard about the baseball method than funky was talking about... but even with the modern method, is rolling the guards safe? i.e. does the flex and stretch in the metal cause the paint to eventually wear and split or chip??
  12. i used to get this consistently... i put tape under the bootlid where the water could seep between the body and the light surround, temporarily fixed the problem, then i just got my rear lights surrounds removed, the bonding glue in between reapplied then reattached. all good now, no leaks, no tape.
  13. i just got pulled over this morning at knox, spent about 20 minutes with the cops. apparently my car is illegal for P's... and he let me off with a warning. pfft... but yeah, i thought r32 gts turbo's were okay! dunno... but being polite always pays off...

    FMIC piping

hey waz, i got quoted around 200 for mine. i decided to chop and change the way i wanted the piping to run, so i ended up paying clsoe to 250 for mine. got the lot made up in mild steel and was only quoted a little bit more for stainless. i've just managed to get my hands on some wrapping for the pipes, so bling pipes wasn't what i wanted. exactly as you stated, students on budget... you a biomed grad yet? 3rd year is hardcore, howd u manage to do it? gimmie some help man! hehehe... i'll post some pics of my piping later today...

    Gamsat

oh heya waz, yeh i thought i saw you too... was one of those odd, wtf, i know you, but too embarrassed just in case so keep walking sorta things... hahahaha... howd u go mate? hardcore huh? did u get my reply pm about the front bar stuff? cheers, - dan.
  18. as waz said, i mount my boost gauge in the RHS vent next to the wheel s15 style. a lil hard to actively monitor, but with electronic peak function etc. on the gauge its still good. looks snug... doens't cost anything and you can't get in trouble for it.
  19. omg i sometimes get the symptoms u talked about fat32. kinda scary coz it sounds like a big job to fix. i've noticed it does it less when using different oils, but on the last change, using motul turbolight 10w40 technosynthase, i experiened quite a few times when oil pressure would just drop to 0 without warning light. it was always more the case of dropping oil pressures, never increasing. hmmm worried.
  20. hey guys, installing a timer. everything is done, spliced all the wires into the right places, timer works fine. just not sure how to locate the handbrake wire on the r32gts-t. do i need to remove many console panels? looking from the gear shifter area i can only see a single taped up wire (assuming it has several wires inside) that runs from the dash towards the rear. it runs on the passengers side and not along the drivers side directly to the handbrake. help appreciated. im gonna start removing the centre console soon.
  21. yeah i agree with bobjones. the screw on my bov was overthreaded and allowed a slight boost leak thru the gasket, made the noise you are talking about, (blowing over beer bottle), but did it all the way thru the revrange when on boost. i fixed it up, by re-tapping the screw hole, thus making the bov sit tighter and fixing the leak thru the gasket at that point.
  22. hey mate, can u email me @ [email protected] interested in the blitz. i sold mine recently for $180. will you be willing to do that? if so, i'll pick it up from u tommorow. if thats too low, also let me know. i miss the sound of the blitz cheers. - dan. (coco69)
