  1. I reckon a name-and-shame for Mashamoto on GTROC in the UK might get things moving a bit...
  2. Well if you reply to this then you should be fine! lol
  3. ....or too poor.... Agree on the last point too.
  4. I think the technical terms is 'making hay while the sun shines'
  5. Short answer is no-one at the moment, not until they hit 18 months old and become financially viable. They'd also need to come from the UK rather than Japan, as the UK is the only place doing the turbo manuals.
  6. This is a valuable lesson for people importing through an unknown broker - if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is! Scott, so the broker is in Australia?? PM me and DRIFTT his name and details and we can do some research...
  7. ^^ Correct, if you can find one with genuine low kms.
  8. An early model MIGHT be possible at $17K but it would be fairly rough, you'll never see a late model one in Japan go under $25K all up unless it has done over 200,000kms...
  9. The interesting thing is the guy that was trying to scam me had really poor English, until I started baiting him and it actually started improving....hmmm...
  10. What usually happens is the scammer will pose as a buyer to elicit as much information as they can from the real seller. I had the same thing happen to me about 5 years ago, and I sent a whole stack of info to the person inquiring, who then used that info to bait other people! Ironically enough, the scammer advertised my car on carsales with a fake phone number, but I had my real number stuck on the car itself (in the pics in the ad), so a buyer rang me on my real number from the fake ad and ended up buying it! 419eater is an awesome site, highly recommended.
  11. lol getting in first I see
  12. I've used Iron Chef to import a number of my cars - I always end up feeling violated at the end of it, and yet I keep coming back for more...
  13. My Junior was a 105, was awesome for getting girls - ironically the first time my girlfriend (now wife) drove it, the brakes failed! Maybe it knew something I didn't... The Patrol is a genuine 58000miles with books! It had been sitting in a shed for the last 15 years, and the owner bought a new car and needed the garage space, and decided to sell it rather than let it go to waste out in the elements near the sea. Mechanically, it needed a radiator recore and the front seats retrimmed, and she's right to go. Blows no smoke at all - once we charged the battery it fired first go too. The plan is to restore it for the Bay to Birdwood Classic next year.
  14. Progress update on mine - guard work getting done, camber kit not on yet. Massive props to All Type Crash in Adelaide. Note coilovers are wound up a bit so they can do the work...
  15. ^^^ He only does VQ25DET. To the best of my knowledge, Northshore are the only ones with emissions evidence to plate PM35s currently.
  16. Better tell that to my 1971 Patrol I have in my shed then... Or the whole swag of early model rotaries or the 1967 Alfa 1300 GT Junior that I've previously owned I agree with you that it's rare, but old non-turbo diesels are woeful to drive - it's like wearing your jocks over your pants, it's different but not necessarily better
  17. Like any investment, you never truly know how good it is till the time comes to sell it I was supposed to sell it when the value of the car equalled what we owed on the house, but that mark passed a good six months ago...lucky I control the finances lol
  18. Sorry to correct your correction, my N1 brethren, but I suspect you'll find your bonnet was switched for a stock one - the V Spec N1s came with a clear coated CF bonnet without the NACA duct that the V Spec IIs got...a very rare bonnet indeed...
  19. This has all been covered many times, guys... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ni...Gtr-t86152.html
  20. The KY0 used on the Z-Tune is a special mix made by Nismo and is not the same KY0 used on any other car. The only way you'll see a Z-Tune drop under $200K would be if we ran out of fuel.
  21. No but there were a few that slipped through the net in SA from Vic before it was all shut down. Plenty of early Evos getting around with Lancer GLi chassis numbers...
  22. Rowan you really are a strange, strange man.
