  1. Nicely spotted! To the OP, I guess if the car you've actually got is a decent one still, then no harm no foul, but it's not nice having it happen, for sure.
  2. Oh dear. I could understand if a whole heap of stuff had gone missing, then you could put it down to a dodgy dealer stripping stuff out of the car before it left. But when there's stuff added on to it (ie bonnet lip), it's a different car. Bait advertising in Japan is rife - don't be surprised if the original car was already sold before you even decided to look at it, you sent your money over, they told you it was sold, then they went and found another similar car to replace it with, probably for less money. Bear in mind that your buyer/agent/broker may have been just as much in the dark about this as you were....
  3. Go out and steal one - they're free!
  4. Oooooh he's turning!! Yes the spike centres come with it
  5. Hahaha jeez you guys are ball breakers! Here's another pic on a Micra:
  6. My thoughts exactly
  7. lol well you'll all have to reserve judgement till you see them on the car!
  8. Bah you guys don't think outside the square that's all - I love Meisters but you need to also think about the car the wheels are going on. I reckon these will suit the Cube very well. The ones in these pics are 17x7s for reference's sake...
  9. lol 19x8s I've gone a slightly different direction...bought these: 17x8 so width is right, +30 so no need for spacers, 90mm of dish, they suit the Cube perfectly and they're super-rare in Australia...wins all round...
  10. If the Cube was 4x114.3 instead of 4x100, I would've found rims ages ago... Oh and having paid for the Meisters, the seller reckons he sold them in his shop! WTF??!! Dodgy prick! So back to square one. Better look quick, or the Panasports will be getting purchased...
  11. Minimum $1K each in Japan, then transport here.... Here's your M-Spec seats, over $5K in Japan... http://page18.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/w50200641 I'm thinking about buying those Panasports too hey lol
  12. Never, although I've never looked for them either. Expect to give up your first-born for them though...
  13. Wheels that look good in 18x12 don't always look so good in 17x7 though I bought the Meisters, in case you all missed it.
  14. The difference in price may be because the buyer's commission was included. And Kujotk, I think you're mistaking me for someone who gives a shit.
  15. Yes but nobody likes a smart-arse.... Again the car didn't meet its reserve, just because $295K was the highest bid doesn't mean that's what the car is worth!
  16. Mine's a V Spec II N1, interestingly enough, there are three of them (including mine) in Australia - the other two have been used in competition for Targa Tas and the like. As for V Spec N1s, I only know of kimbod's in Australia. With the 22B, there were 5 imported from Japan by Subaru Australia for select customers/collectors, who then either got the poops on or one of them ponied up with the cash to get his road registered, so all five owners were the offered the option of doing so.
  17. Just trying to talk up its value haha
  18. You didn't know it had a Nismo R1 motor?? Just for added rareness, it's one of only two N1/R1 combos ever made haha
  19. Maybe I'll hold on to it just for Skyline Nationals - I want to do a lap of Mallala with the exhaust off so I (and everyone else) can hear some R1 goodness hehe
  20. Just to clarify: 22Bs made - 400 V Spec N1s made - 45 (33 road cars) V Spec 2 N1s made - 18 Prices are always about supply and demand, and I think you'll find that there have been a number of ex-pats who've jumped on the 22B bandwagon hoping to make big profits. There have been a few going through auctions, it's not all the same car (one belongs to a customer of mine who brought his in from the UK). The problem is that the people who understand how rare 22Bs are aren't the ones with the coin to pay good money for them, and conversely the people with $100K to spend aren't going to drop that much on what they probably see as a pumped up WRX, regardless of what you tell them, especially one with a questionable history. People that attend auctions are generally dealers or private heads looking for a bargain, not Subaru fanatics, so it doesn't surprise me in the least that it didn't make much, but also bear in mind that it didn't sell. If I had a $500,000 house and it passed in at $400,000, it doesn't mean that's what it's worth. This car smacks of someone trying to make a quick profit, but having said this, if the owner is in a position to keep it rather than sell it, he/she may have decided it's better to hold on to it and let it appreciate in value rather than sell it cheap.
  21. lol well I know what I'll be asking, and I won't just be advertising it in Australia I'm giving it some thought at the moment, to be honest. The best time to sell is when you don't actually NEED to sell
  22. Oooh ooh I'd like to solve it now please....
  23. In case you guys haven't seen it already, here's a pic of Gary Coleman's coffin...
  24. Sorry, I didn't realise this was a competition
  25. lol It was the Sportmaxx 501s that I originally ordered (16x8 +15s...), but after waiting 2 months and being told I needed to wait another 6 weeks by the Aussie "supplier" apparently due to a second stuff up in the order from the warehouse in the US, I told him he could stick it and give me my money back. Feel free to PM me for the name of the company. The problem I had with going too small is the massive radius of the guard lip, it tends to make smaller wheels look like shopping trolley wheels, regardless of how wide they are. The only solution with smaller diameters is to dump it stupidly low, which then makes it too impractical for every day use. I ended up buying the white Meisters, which despite being 7" width (bear in mind the factory alloy is 5.5", the steelies are 5") should be cherry ripe for the offset. Now to hunt down a factory strip kit in white to match...
