  1. Correct Adam, so yours will still be one of the only manuals, don't stress
  2. That one was an exception to the rule Nice Evo 7s can be had around the $21-22K mark though. Awesome car for the money. And totally OT - JMW... CHOCO-BANANA!!
  3. They can feel free to take on my alarm, I'd enjoy calling the cops with their GPS location and cutting the engine once they've caught up with them. Sorry to hear Bengi that sucks balls. But I agree, these thefts are getting a bit close for comfort.
  4. Check in the importing section mate, plenty of info in there. Otherwise feel free to email me
  5. I wouldn't bet on it being a replica - given that there were only two built, there's every chance they're both unique in terms of specs.
  6. There were 45 V-Spec N1s built (only 33 of them road cars) and 18 V-Spec II N1s built, so I hope you're patient. Pending the outcome of a house/land deal, mine may be for sale (after swearing that I would own it for life!), but just to warn you, you'll be looking at six figures, but then again, mine's no ordinary N1 either
  7. lol it's registered - THE427 - for those that missed it...
  8. Yeah green 4 door with the multicolour interior which was thankfully switched by the time I bought it. Man I miss that car, so much fun...
  9. hahaha, sorry just being economical with my words...
  10. I consulted my magic 8 ball about your chances of importing a car successfully:
  11. Last I heard someone was trying but it was too hard to get it to meet ADRs. It'd be a personal import if it has plates on it.
  12. lol please DO NOT use that review to base your decisions on. ST246s aren't overly quick in relative terms, but they are safe, well built, reliable and will serve the purpose your mum needs it for if she's after a nice looking runabout. If you're worried about getting parts, get a Subaru Forester.
  13. Subaru Liberty, try and get the 3.0R model they are fantastic to drive.
  14. You do realise I posted the link at the top, don't you?
  15. Does cover the stale cigarette smell though...
  16. For GTRs, the series 1s were adjustable in-cabin, the series two were auto-levelling. If they're still sitting too high, you'll need to adjust them at the headlight.
  17. Jeez, someone's a wet blanket this morning
  18. Hot off the presses (well off my fax machine at least) - the C35 Laurel is now eligible for import, only with RB25DET (the non turbos don't meet power/weight regs). Start bugging your local compliance workshop to take on a test car! Here's one I prepared earlier:
  19. 2005 wants its news back
  20. WAR300 still resides in a shed in SA to the best of my knowledge. I used to own FF(&R!)'s 'Project Pizza Delivery' RX-2, and sold it to a guy in country SA who turned it into a drag car, but again I think that's gathering dust these days.
  21. Theoretically, but not till it's on the SEVS register.
  22. Yeah but you wanted it 'from those in the know' so I replied hahahaha *ducks*
  23. Surfs can't be imported any more, and any still floating around locally are likely to have telephone numbers on their odometers. Looks like your choice has been made for you
  24. Again, it depends on your definition of sports. I prefer the feel of a RWD car to FWD car like most people on here probably, but put a FWD on a dirt track and it will smash an equivalent RWD car. I do the odd dirt motorkhana event with my brother-in-law and there are all sorts of RWD cars there with reasonable horsepower (my brother drives an R30 that slides beautifully - no good for times but lots of fun), the current championship leader drives a 1985 Laser.... And there are plenty of good-handling FWD cars out there - go take a Renault Megane or Clio RS for a hills run and see what you think then.
